About the role
Job Description: Seeking an experienced indirect tax professional with expertise in US Sales & Use Tax compliance and tax accounting processes. The candidate will support the preparation, review, reconciliation, and reporting of Sales & Use Tax across multiple US jurisdictions while ensuring compliance with applicable tax regulations and company policies.
The ideal candidate should possess strong knowledge of US indirect taxation, month-end accounting processes, tax reconciliations, tax reporting, audit support, and ERP systems. The role requires excellent analytical skills, problem-solving capabilities, and the ability to collaborate with Finance, Accounting, Tax, and business stakeholders.
Experience with SAP environments, tax reporting tools, and multi-state Sales & Use Tax compliance processes is highly desirable.
Responsibilities: Key Responsibilities
Prepare and support Sales & Use Tax compliance processes across multiple US states.
Perform tax accounting activities including tax accruals, reconciliations, and tax-related journal entries.
Support month-end and year-end tax close activities.
Review and reconcile Sales & Use Tax accounts and investigate variances.
Prepare tax reports, schedules, and supporting documentation for audits and compliance reviews.
Support tax payment requests and tax settlement activities.
Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, company policies, and internal control frameworks.
Monitor and resolve tax-related exceptions, open items, and compliance issues.
Support tax audits by providing documentation, reconciliations, and audit evidence.
Collaborate with Finance, Accounting, Tax, and business stakeholders to resolve tax-related queries and improve processes.
Qualifications: Graduate in Commerce, Finance, Accounting, Taxation, or MBA Finance.
3-6 years of experience in Tax, RTR, Financial Accounting, or Tax Compliance roles.
Strong experience in US Sales & Use Tax compliance.
Experience in tax accounting, reconciliations, and reporting.
Strong understanding of multi-state tax requirements.
Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
Experience working with ERP systems (SAP preferred).
Strong analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
Preferred Requirements
SAP S/4HANA, OneSource
Experience supporting multinational tax operations.
Exposure to tax audits and regulatory compliance requirements.
Knowledge of EU VAT, PVA, EC VAT, and international indirect tax reporting.
