Sobre o papel:

Manage and control legal risks considering the different processes, procedures and Centers of Competence of the Legal Function, counseling different functions and internal clients in Brazil and South America, coordinating specifically Marketing and connected areas, such as Marketing Law, Media Law and Intellectual Property. Additionally, contribute for the implementation, execution and monitoring of different Compliance policies of the company.

The Food Law, Regulatory & Compliance South America role ensures end-to-end food law compliance across South America by supporting product development, labelling, claims and regulatory processes, while acting as a key connector between local teams, central FLRC functions and external advisors, and contributing to regulatory intelligence and business-oriented legal guidance.

Principais Responsabilidades:

Regional Scope: South America, in close coordination with the Food Law, Regulatory & Compliance (FLRC) Legal Competence Centers (LCCs).

Role Summary: The position supports the business on a broad range of food law and regulatory matters across South America, ensuring compliance with applicable food legislation and standards, while contributing to strategic intelligence and business-oriented support.

1. Preparing and maintaining labelling specification files (“F8”) in accordance with applicable food laws and internal requirements.

2. Reviewing, upon request of business teams, the accuracy and compliance of labelling executions on pack.

3. Supporting compliance checks for new product development files.

4. Following on sanitary registration applications with relevant public agencies

5. Assisting in responding to inquiries from trade partners and consumers.

6. Reviewing and advising on food claims used on labels and marketing materials.

7. Assisting in the implementation and maintenance of food safety compliance procedures to meet applicable regulatory requirements.

8. Supporting the Food Regulatory function - upon request - by advising on regulatory requirements in specific areas of competence (e.g. food ingredients, food improvement agents, packaging materials, contaminants, microbiological criteria, novel foods, etc.).

9. Acting as the Business Unit focal point for the implementation of global Food Law, Regulatory & Compliance Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).

10. Interacting - upon request from central Food Law, Regulatory & Compliance teams - with external legal and regulatory consultants.

11. Participating in global and regional assessments and projects led by the central Food Law, Regulatory & Compliance teams.

12. Growing and nurturing the outside network of food law and regulatory consultants.

13. Supported by the outside consultants’ network, conducting food law and regulatory horizon scanning across South America, monitoring legislative and regulatory developments, assessing potential impacts on the company’s business, and supporting Institutional Affairs teams with business relevant legal insights.

Food Law, Regulatory & Compliance South America: Acting as a key interface between local business teams, central Food Law, Regulatory & Compliance (FLRC) Competence Center, and external advisors, the role combines operational execution (e.g. labelling, registrations, claims review) with strategic insight, including regulatory monitoring and risk assessment. Facilitating compliant product development and commercialization, enabling business decision- making, and anticipating regulatory developments, while contributing to the consistent implementation of global FLRC processes and standards across South America.

Lawyer profesional title, with minimal profesional experience of 1 year, fluency in english and affinity with commercial, marketing and regulatory law.
