Production Manager

Job Summary

The Production Manager will be responsible for planning, managing, and overseeing end-to-end production operations to ensure timely manufacturing, optimum resource utilization, quality compliance, and continuous process improvement.

Key ResponsibilitiesProduction Operations

Plan and execute daily, weekly, and monthly production schedules.

Ensure production targets are achieved within the defined timelines.

Monitor production activities and resolve operational issues promptly.

Ensure optimum utilization of manpower, machinery, and raw materials.

Coordinate with Procurement, Warehouse, and Quality teams for uninterrupted production.

Team Management

Lead, supervise, and motivate the production team.

Allocate manpower based on production requirements.

Train employees on production processes, SOPs, and safety standards.

Conduct regular performance reviews and provide feedback.

Maintain discipline and promote teamwork on the production floor.

Quality Management

Ensure products meet quality standards and specifications.

Coordinate with the Quality team to address quality issues.

Implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).

Reduce product rejection, defects, and rework.

Process Improvement

Identify and implement process improvement initiatives.

Reduce production costs, wastage, and downtime.

Improve production efficiency and productivity.

Implement Lean Manufacturing, 5S, Kaizen, and continuous improvement practices.

Monitor Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE).

Inventory & Material Management

Ensure timely availability of raw materials.

Monitor material consumption and minimize wastage.

Coordinate with Stores and Procurement for inventory planning.

Maintain accurate production and material usage records.

Machine & Maintenance Coordination

Monitor machine performance and production equipment.

Coordinate preventive and breakdown maintenance activities.

Ensure minimum machine downtime.

Improve equipment utilization.

Compliance & Safety

Ensure compliance with GMP, food safety standards (if applicable), and company policies.

Maintain workplace hygiene and cleanliness.

Conduct regular safety inspections.

Ensure adherence to statutory and safety regulations.

Reporting & Documentation

Prepare Daily Production Reports (DPR).

Track production KPIs and operational performance.

Maintain production records and documentation.

Present production reports to management.

Analyze production data and recommend improvements.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Production Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Food Technology, Operations Management, or a related field.

3–4 years of experience in production or manufacturing, with at least 2 years in a managerial role.

Experience in FMCG, Food Manufacturing, Pharmaceuticals, or Consumer Goods Manufacturing is preferred.

Pay: ₹30,000.00 - ₹35,000.00 per month
