Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Project Procurement Manager to lead the procurement activities for large-scale industrial projects. The ideal candidate must have successfully handled a minimum of two complete plant setup projects from concept to commissioning, with expertise in sourcing project equipment, managing vendor contracts, expediting deliveries, and coordinating with engineering and project teams.
Experience in Ferro Alloy, Steel, Power, Cement, Mining, or other heavy industrial projects will be preferred.
Key Responsibilities
Lead end-to-end procurement activities for new plant/project execution.
Develop and implement procurement strategies aligned with project schedules and budgets.
Source and procure capital equipment, machinery, structural materials, electrical and mechanical packages, and project consumables.
Prepare RFQs, evaluate techno-commercial bids, negotiate pricing, and finalize purchase orders.
Coordinate closely with Engineering, Projects, QA/QC, Finance, and Site Execution teams.
Identify and develop reliable domestic and international vendors.
Monitor manufacturing progress, inspections, dispatch, logistics, and timely delivery of project materials.
Ensure procurement milestones are achieved in line with project timelines.
Review technical specifications, BOQs, drawings, and procurement schedules.
Manage vendor performance, contract administration, and dispute resolution.
Ensure compliance with procurement policies, quality standards, and statutory requirements.
Prepare procurement reports, MIS, cost-saving initiatives, and project procurement dashboards.
Good knowledge about Compliance.
Eligibility Criteria Educational Qualification
B.E./B.Tech in Mechanical, Electrical, Metallurgical, Industrial Engineering, or a related discipline.
MBA/PGDM in Supply Chain or Materials Management will be an added advantage.
Experience
10–15+ years of experience in project procurement.
Mandatory experience of handling at least two complete industrial plant setup projects from procurement planning to commissioning.
Experience in Ferro Alloy Plant Projects will be highly preferred.
