About the Role

We are seeking a Senior Project Leader to join our team in a Remote capacity. As a Senior Project Leader, you will lead Parexel and client teams by combining deep clinical research expertise with strategic insight to develop innovative solutions that drive clinical trial success. This position plays a key role in study execution, operational excellence, regulatory compliance, and client satisfaction. You'll collaborate with cross-functional teams, leverage industry-standard processes, and drive study outcomes from planning through closeout.

Key Responsibilities

Lead and manage medium to high complexity clinical trials or low complexity clinical trial programs with full accountability for project deliverables, timelines, budgets, and quality standards.

Develop and maintain comprehensive project plans with key milestones, budgets, and resources assigned to specific tasks and outcomes; define metrics for reporting performance against plan.

Own the client relationship at the study level, establishing effective communication channels and standards that ensure high client satisfaction and timely delivery of solutions.

Manage project profitability through budget oversight, revenue recognition, forecasting, resource management, and change in scope management in collaboration with cross-functional partners.

Identify and mitigate project risks, implement contingency plans, and keep clients informed of risks and mitigation strategies.

Establish quality standards that drive individual and team commitment to quality; monitor deliverables and implement corrective and preventative actions as needed.

Lead cross-functional project teams to achieve successful study completion; establish team goals, inspire ownership, and maintain accountability through regular project reviews.

Represent Project Leadership in external client meetings, bid pursuits, investigator meetings, and professional conferences.

Act as a role model and mentor for Project Leaders and junior staff; support program management responsibilities as needed.

10+ years of experience working in clinical research, healthcare, or in a regulated environment with proven success managing complex projects.

The ability to work independently with minimal oversight, analyze complex situations, and develop nonstandard solutions.

A patient-focused mindset, high accountability, and strong attention to detail in all deliverables.

Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word), project planning software, and standard clinical research systems (CTMS, EDC, IXRS, TMF).

Ability to thrive in a matrix environment, value teamwork, and embrace Parexel's High-Performance Culture principles.

Required Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in a science or medical-related field.

Proven advanced project management experience in healthcare, clinical research, or contract research organization.

Proven track record of developing and managing client relationships at the project level.

Knowledge of ICH-GCP, regulatory requirements, and clinical trial processes

Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Qualifications

Advanced degree (Master's or higher) in a related field.

PMP or equivalent project management certification.

Experience managing different trial phases and program-level responsibilities.
