Interior Designer / Design Engineer

About the Role

We are looking for Interior Designers who are interested in building a career in Design Engineering, Production Design, and Modular Furniture Manufacturing.

This role is ideal for designers who want to move from only client presentations and concepts into a more technical role involving production drawings, detailing, material planning, and manufacturing execution.

Job Responsibilities

Convert interior concepts into detailed production-ready drawings.

Prepare modular furniture designs for kitchens, wardrobes, storage units, and complete interiors.

Create accurate shop drawings, working drawings, and manufacturing details.

Prepare designs using Infurnia and other design tools.

Support cutlist preparation and production documentation.

Coordinate with factory production, CNC, and installation teams.

Ensure designs are technically feasible and production-friendly.

Review drawings and make necessary modifications before manufacturing.

Maintain accuracy in dimensions, materials, hardware, and specifications.

Requirements

Diploma/Degree in Interior Design or related field.

1–3 years of experience in interior design, modular furniture, or furniture manufacturing.

Interest in moving towards a Design Engineer / Backend Design role.

Good understanding of modular furniture construction.

Knowledge of AutoCAD, SketchUp, Infurnia, or similar design software.

Good understanding of materials, hardware, and production processes.

Strong attention to detail and accuracy.

Preferred Candidates

Interior Designers who want to shift from sales/client meetings to technical design.

Designers interested in production, CNC, cutlists, and manufacturing workflows.

Candidates with experience in modular kitchens, wardrobes, and custom furniture.
