SW Automation Test Engineer (DICOM)
Job Purpose
The ideal candidate will support the verification and validation of our medical imaging solutions. The role is primarily focused on frontend test automation, with the potential to into backend test automation in the future. This role requires a good understanding of medical imaging standards (DICOM), patient safety, regulatory compliance, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to collaborate effectively in a team environment. Duties and Responsibilities
4-6 years of experience in automation testing, specifically within the medical imaging software solution
Apply understanding of the Software Testing Life Cycle (STLC), testing methodologies, and QA processes
Proficient in designing, developing, executing and maintaining automated test scripts and test frameworks using Test Automation tool QF-Test
Self-motivated and quality-focused, with the ability to analyze complex scenarios and design effective test cases aligned with quality objectives to improve testing efficiency and product quality.
Identify, document, and track software defects, and work with development teams to prioritize and resolve them
Collaborate with product managers, developers, and other stakeholders to understand project requirements and ensure comprehensive test coverage
Contribute to test documentation – Test Procedure, Report, Summary, Traceability Matrix
Must-Have Qualifications
A bachelor’s degree in computer science, IT engineering is the minimum required qualification.
Experience in the healthcare domain is mandatory
Familiarity with DICOM standards, workflows, and communication (e.g., storage, query/retrieve)
Hands-on experience on Test Automation tool QF-Test
Strong programming knowledge of Java & JavaScript
Hands-on experience in GUI (API) software automation testing
Experience with relational databases e.g. MySQL, including writing and executing SQL queries for data validation
Ability to write and run PowerShell, Groovy and Ant scripts for automation, setup, or test support tasks.
Ability to review build and automated test results in CI / CD pipelines
Experience testing web applications in multiple browsers (e.g., Chrome, Firefox, Edge; Safari) in manual and automated testing.
Ensuring effective collaboration, productivity, and delivery of quality outcomes
Structured and precise verbal and written communication, active listening and questioning, cultural awareness in international teams.
Proactive approach to identifying issues, evaluating solutions, and resolving challenges effectively in a timely manner.
Nice-to-Have Qualification
Relevant certifications such as ISTQB, Microsoft certifications
Experience in security testing, Certificate handling and vulnerability analysis (e.g., OWASP). Relevant certifications such as OSCP, CSSLP, CISSP, or similar are a strong plus.
Familiarity with Test Management tools like ALM, ADO, Polarion
Confident in using and testing multiple Windows client and server versions
Experience with macOS (or Unix) for client-side testing, working with terminal.
Experience using generative AI in testing
Experience with performance and load testing tools (e.g., JMeter, LoadRunner) and interpreting performance metrics
