Creative Pod Leader (Artists, Makers & Performers)

Calling all artists, makers, and creative professionals! Griot Arts is looking for passionate creatives in the Clarksdale area to lead Pods - short, hands-on learning experiences for local students built around a skill you love.

You design the class. Teach filmmaking, painting, spoken word, fashion, creative writing, dance, comic illustration, beat making, photography, graphic design, cooking, jewelry making, animation, or something entirely your own - we want to hear your idea.

What is a Pod? A Pod is a short, hands-on learning experience centered on a creative skill or passion. You choose the format that fits your vision, including:

A one-day workshop

A four-week series

A six- or eight-week class

Classes meeting twice per week

Another format of your choosing

We're looking for engaging experiences that build creativity, confidence, and self-expression in students.

Compensation $30 per teaching hour.

Experience working with children

Ability to create a safe, engaging, and inclusive learning environment

Must pass a background check

Pay: $30.00 per hour
