Forklift Operator/Labourer (Night Shift)

Duties

Operate forklifts safely and efficiently to load, unload, move, and position materials within the warehouse

Assist with materials handling tasks, including stacking, sorting, and organizing inventory

Conduct routine equipment repairs or notify maintenance for mechanical issues to ensure optimal forklift performance

Manage shipping and receiving activities by verifying inbound and outbound shipments against documentation

Utilize warehouse management systems to track inventory movements accurately

Perform heavy lifting tasks safely while adhering to safety protocols

Support warehouse management with general labour duties as needed, including cleaning and organizing work areas

Skills

Proven experience operating forklifts in a warehouse setting with valid certification

Strong understanding of warehouse management systems for inventory control

Mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot minor equipment issues and assist with repairs

Ability to handle materials safely, including heavy lifting and proper stacking techniques

Basic math skills for measuring, counting, and verifying shipments

Knowledge of shipping & receiving procedures to ensure accurate documentation and timely processing

Excellent attention to detail combined with physical stamina for demanding tasks during night shifts
