About the role

Serco supports the European Union Agency for the Space Programme (EUSPA) in France through the delivery of critical operational, engineering, and security services for the EU’s flagship space programmes, including Galileo. Working across key EUSPA sites, Serco contributes to the reliability, security, and performance of Europe’s satellite navigation and space infrastructure, helping to provide essential services to citizens, businesses, and public authorities across Europe.

On behalf of our client, EUSPA, we are looking for a RAMS Engineer to support activities at our client’s premises in Toulouse, France. The successful candidate will work approximately 25% on-site at EUSPA premises, with the remaining time based at the Serco office in Toulouse. We welcome applications from both full-time employees (offered on a fixed-term contract with the possibility of extension) and consultants. Responsibilities:

General Support to RAMS Management.

Contribute to the definition, implementation, and follow-up of Reliability, Availability, Maintainability, and Safety (RAMS) programs, including integration with Integrated Logistics

Support (ILS) data and RAMS baseline maintenance.

Act as expert reviewer during milestone reviews, assessing RAMS analyses such as FMECA, FTA, and Common Mode/ Cause Analysis.

Support spare stock dimensioning through as-operated data analysis, including dependability, obsolescence, and maintainability reporting.

Provide RAMS input to risk assessments and maintain the EUSPA Critical Item List under configuration control.

Requirements:

5+ years of experience in RAMS Engineering or related disciplines within the Space, aerospace, or safety-critical industries.

Mandatory experience with EGNOS, Galileo, GNSS, or similar satellite navigation programmes.

Strong knowledge of RAMS methodologies, including FMECA/FMEA, FTA, Common Cause/Mode Analysis, and risk assessments.

Experience with reliability, maintainability, safety analyses, and technical reviews.

Knowledge of ECSS or equivalent Space standards is desirable.

Strong analytical, reporting, and communication skills.

Previous experience with EUSPA, ESA, or major Space contractors is an asset.

Fluency in English, French is considered an advantage.

Eligibility to obtain and maintain an EU security clearance.

Relevant University degree in engineering or a related technical discipline.

Candidates must be eligible for a security personal clearance from an EU Member State national security administration.
