Purchase Executive
About the role
Procurement Management:
Identify and evaluate potential suppliers based on quality, cost, and reliability.
Develop and maintain relationships with key suppliers.
Issue purchase orders and ensure timely delivery of materials and equipment.
Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with the production team to forecast material needs.
Negotiation and Contract Management:
Negotiate terms and conditions with suppliers to achieve the best possible pricing and service agreements.
Manage contracts and ensure compliance with company policies and regulations.
Resolve any issues or discrepancies related to purchase orders and deliveries.
Supplier Evaluation and Development:
Conduct regular evaluations of supplier performance and implement improvement plans as needed.
Develop alternative sources of supply to ensure continuous production flow.
Technical Assessment:
Assess the technical specifications of materials and equipment to ensure they meet the required standards.
Collaborate with the engineering and production teams to understand technical requirements and specifications.
Stay updated on industry trends and advancements in materials and equipment.
Documentation and Reporting:
Maintain accurate records of all procurement activities, including purchase orders, contracts, and supplier communications.
Prepare reports on procurement status, cost analysis, and supplier performance for management review.
Technical Skills Required:
ERP and Procurement Software:
Proficiency in using ERP systems for managing procurement processes.
Experience with procurement software and tools for tracking orders and managing supplier relationships.
Technical Knowledge:
Understanding of manufacturing processes and the technical requirements of materials and equipment.
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, specifications, and standards.
Analytical Skills:
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to evaluate suppliers and negotiate contracts.
Ability to analyze market trends and assess the impact on material costs and availability.
Quality Management:
Knowledge of quality control procedures and standards relevant to the manufacturing industry.
Ability to assess supplier quality and implement corrective actions when necessary.
Communication and Negotiation:
Excellent communication and negotiation skills to interact with suppliers and internal stakeholders.
Ability to build and maintain effective working relationships with suppliers and colleagues.
Pay: ₹35,000.00 - ₹45,336.93 per month
