We are looking for a detail-oriented, proactive, and experienced Export Merchandiser to join our growing team and serve as the vital link between our foreign clients and domestic production.

Role Overview

As an Export Merchandiser, you will manage the entire order execution process - from buyer inquiry and sampling to bulk production and final shipment. You will be responsible for building strong relationships with vendors and manufacturing department, ensuring strict quality standards, managing timelines, and ensuring smooth export logistics.

1. Key Responsibilities - Communication & Order Management

Act as the primary point of contact for vendors and manufacturing department, buyer agents, and buying houses.

Handle buyer inquiries, send tech packs/swatches, and clarify order details.

Negotiate order terms, delivery dates, and pricing alongside the senior management team.

2. Sampling & Product Development

Coordinate with the internal design and pattern-making teams to develop samples according to buyer specifications.

Track initial, fit, photo, and pre-production (PP) samples, ensuring timely dispatch to buyers for approval.

Maintain a detailed Time and Action (T&A) calendar for every order and ensure all departments adhere to it.

3. Production Coordination & Quality Control

Source necessary fabrics, trims, embellishments, and accessories with procurement teams.

Conduct regular production status checks to identify and resolve potential delays early.

Work closely with the Quality Assurance (QA) team to ensure product quality matches approved samples and international buyer standards.

4. Export Documentation & Logistics

Coordinate with shipping lines, freight forwarders, and logistics partners for shipment bookings.

Ensure compliance with export/import regulations, customs procedures, and buyer-specific compliance standards.

Requirements & Qualifications

Experience: 2-4 years of experience in export merchandising (preferably in haute couture, luxury garments, or embellished textiles).

Education: Bachelor’s degree or Diploma in Fashion Merchandising, Apparel Production, Textile Technology, or International Business.

Technical Skills:

Proficient in Microsoft Excel/Google Sheets and ERP software.

Deep understanding of garment construction, embellishments, fabrics, and production processes.

Soft Skills:

Excellent written and spoken English communication skills.

Exceptional time-management, multitasking, and problem-solving abilities.

High attention to detail under tight deadlines.
