Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Mechanical Engineer to design and develop mechanical components, tooling, and assemblies for electrical and switchgear products. The role involves end-to-end product development, including concept design, prototyping, testing, validation, tooling support, and manufacturing coordination. The ideal candidate should have strong expertise in 3D CAD design, manufacturing processes, and product development.
Key Responsibilities
Design and develop mechanical components, assemblies, and tooling for electrical and electromechanical products.
Create 3D models, detailed drawings, and engineering documentation using Creo, Inventor, or AutoCAD.
Support new product development from concept through prototype, validation, and production.
Coordinate with vendors for prototype manufacturing, tooling, and product testing.
Modify existing designs based on customer feedback, manufacturing requirements, and product improvements.
Conduct design validation and analyze test results to improve product reliability and performance.
Collaborate with Electrical, Electronics, Manufacturing, Quality, and Product Engineering teams.
Ensure designs comply with applicable industry standards, quality requirements, and manufacturing specifications.
Support production, tooling, and post-launch engineering activities.
Participate in continuous improvement and cost optimization initiatives.
Required Skills
5–8+ years of experience in mechanical product design and development.
Proficiency in Creo, Inventor, AutoCAD, or similar 3D CAD software.
Strong knowledge of mechanical design, press tools, molds, manufacturing processes, and material selection.
Experience with engineering plastics, sheet metal, and metal components.
Understanding of DFM, GD&T, product validation, and manufacturing techniques.
Familiarity with Six Sigma, ISO standards, and Poka-Yoke concepts.
Strong analytical, technical, documentation, and communication skills.
Preferred Candidate Profile
Experience in electrical, switchgear, controlgear, or industrial automation products.
Exposure to multinational manufacturing environments.
Knowledge of product testing, certification, and compliance standards.
Ability to work effectively in a cross-functional engineering team.
Working Hours
Full-time
Monday to Friday (11:00 AM – 8:00 PM)
Occasional evening or weekend work based on project requirements.
Pay: ₹800,000.00 - ₹1,000,000.00 per month
Work Location: In person
