What you do as a Junior Structural BIM Engineer (MCF/ Data Centres)

As a Junior Structural BIM Modeler, you will play a crucial role in developing and engineering designs for our Mision Critical Facilities (MCF) projects, working closely with teams and under the guidance of the Lead Engineer and BIM Coordinator or lead BIM modeler. Modelling, layouts and detailing production, supporting the coordination of the structural design team to meet project deadlines following the Haskoning quality standards. Other responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:

translating engineering designs into high-quality structural BIM models and construction-ready documentation using Autodesk Revit.

Ensure quality check of models and drawings prior to delivery.

Collaborate within a multidisciplinary, cross-border team to deliver projects and participate in international travel as required;

Contribute to optimizing internal processes and share knowledge within the team;

Maintain regular communication with Project Engineers and BIM Coordinator and ensure all work meets Haskoning and client standards.

Propose and develop innovative BIM Solutions.

Support clash detection and model coordination activities.

Our global Mission Critical Facilities (MCF) team provides a multidisciplinary package of consultancy services for our datacenter clients. We provide strategic, tactical, and operational advice to our clients, including colocation datacentres, internet service providers, and telecom companies. Our team consists of colleagues with all kinds of different expertise. For example, mechanical engineering, construction, civil, structure, building, architecture, fire safety, controls engineering, and security technology. Together we use our knowledge and expertise to develop integrated designs for Data Centres.

What you bring

You are an entrepreneurial, result oriented, proactive individual with a positive flexible, problem-solving attitude and open to innovation. Besides that, you have:

A degree in Civil Engineering, Architectural Technology, Building Engineering, or a related field, providing a strong foundation in structural principles;

Strong structural knowledge and experience in building projects; exposure to industrial or data centre projects is a plus;

A minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in consulting engineering.

Good knowledge of BIM and Revit is essential; certifications are advantageous;

Experience with Dynamo, Python, Rhino Inside Revit is highly desirable;

Familiarity with Common Data Environments, such as Autodesk Forma and relevant platforms is required;

Good understanding of steel and concrete structures design expanding to detailing and reinforcement.

Demonstrating excellent communication skills towards colleagues and clients and is fluent in English (minimum B2). Spanish is also preferable, Dutch and/ or German would be a plus.
