Job Summary

WPS is seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Data Analyst to join our London-based team. The successful candidate will be responsible for collecting, analysing, and interpreting data to support business decision-making, identify trends, and improve operational performance. The role requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to communicate complex information clearly to stakeholders across the business.

Key Responsibilities

Collect, clean, validate, and analyse large datasets from various sources.

Develop and maintain dashboards, reports, and visualisations to support business objectives.

Identify trends, patterns, and actionable insights that drive strategic decision-making.

Work closely with stakeholders to understand reporting requirements and business needs.

Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and provide regular performance reporting.

Ensure data accuracy, integrity, and consistency across systems.

Produce ad hoc analysis and reports to support operational and strategic initiatives.

Present findings and recommendations to management and key stakeholders.

Support the development and implementation of data quality and governance processes.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve business performance through data-driven insights.

Assist in automating reporting processes and improving data efficiencies.

Skills & Experience

Essential

Experience in a Data Analyst, Business Analyst, Reporting Analyst, or similar analytical role.

Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including pivot tables, lookups, and data modelling.

Experience using Power BI to create dashboards and reports.

Strong knowledge of SQL and database concepts.

Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

Strong attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy.

Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively to deadlines.

Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.

Desirable

Experience with Python, R, or other data analysis tools.

Knowledge of data warehousing and ETL processes.

Experience working within construction, social housing, property services, facilities management, or related sectors.

Understanding of statistical analysis and forecasting techniques.

Experience with Microsoft Fabric or Azure data services.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Data Analytics, Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, Business, or a related discipline, or equivalent industry experience.

Relevant professional certifications in Power BI, Data Analytics, SQL, or related areas are advantageous.
