About the role

The Fraud Prevention & Analytics Manager is responsible for leading a team of skilled analysts focused on identifying, preventing, and mitigating fraud risk impacting external clients. The manager will oversee the development and implementation of data-driven fraud prevention strategies and policies, including the design and management of blocking mechanisms and alerting systems to protect clients from fraudulent activity. A core function of this role is conducting root cause analysis on client-impacting fraud events to identify control gaps and drive continuous improvement, ultimately strengthening the organization's ability to safeguard its clients through actionable control enhancements and strategic recommendations.

Key Responsibilities and Duties

Lead and mentor a team of fraud prevention and root cause analysts, driving operational excellence and professional development.

Design and implement an Account Takeover Review process to track fraud trends and drive prevention strategies.

Define and support strategic vision for B2C and B2B authentication across digital and call center channels, aligning initiatives with enterprise objectives.

Leverage analytics and data-driven insights to optimize fraud prevention strategies, enhance customer experience, and strengthen risk posture.

Evaluate and manage performance dashboards, fraud metrics and vendor relationships to evaluate emerging risks and guide executive decision-making.

Reviews research and analysis of various source data sets and identified malicious activities to determine the root cause and control vulnerabilities.

Supervises testing of controls for any new or enhancement to fraud solutions.

Reviews reports and documents regarding fraud event details and outcomes.

Receives and processes recommendations on how to improve fraud prevention strategies as provided by team members.

Works cross-functionally to maintain an understanding of the organization's security environment.

Sets goals and objectives for team members for achievement of operational results.

5+ years of experience in Fraud, Risk or Cybersecurity

Experience leading people, teams or functions.

3+ years working in financial services industry

Preferred Skills

Experience with digital risk forensic tools, telephony and ANI risk detection

Experience with online authentication, identification, registration, login, and transactional activity

Experience with Splunk, Tableau, SharePoint, PowerPoint, Excel, Word

Experience in root cause analysis

Experience in link analysis

Experience in alerting and case management systems

Base Pay Range: $128,000/yr - $179,000/yr

Actual base salary may vary based upon, but not limited to, relevant experience, time in role, base salary of internal peers, prior performance, business sector, and geographic location. In addition to base salary, the competitive compensation package may include, depending on the role, participation in an incentive program linked to performance (for example, annual discretionary incentive programs, non-annual sales incentive plans, or other non-annual incentive plans).
