Training Officer

We are looking for a confident, organised and engaging Training Officer to join our team. This role is responsible for coordinating and delivering mandatory training to support workers working within supported exempt housing, while ensuring training records remain accurate, compliant and up to date.

The successful candidate will be comfortable presenting to groups, building positive working relationships and maintaining excellent administrative standards.

Key Responsibilities

Deliver engaging face-to-face training to support workers within supported exempt housing.

Ensure training content remains current, compliant with legislation and best practice, and meets organisational requirements.

Evaluate the effectiveness of training programmes by gathering feedback and identifying opportunities for continuous improvement.

Coordinate and book training sessions to ensure mandatory training is delivered in a timely manner.

Liaise with external companies to ensure all staff complete mandatory annual training within required timescales.

Monitor training compliance and proactively identify staff whose mandatory training is due to expire or requires renewal.

Verify the identity of all training attendees.

Ensure attendance registers are completed accurately for every training session.

Ensure all mandatory paperwork is completed by support workers.

Produce and issue training certificates following successful completion of training.

Maintain accurate training records by filing documentation promptly.

Update and maintain training trackers and spreadsheets.

Prepare and provide training reports, compliance data and other information to the Senior Leadership Team as required.

Essential Requirements

Previous experience delivering training or working as a Training Officer, Learning & Development Officer or similar role.

Knowledge of supported exempt housing and the support worker environment.

Experience working within the social housing sector.

Experience maintaining training records and compliance documentation.

Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, Word and Outlook.

Excellent organisational and administrative skills.

Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Pay: £28,000.00-£30,000.00 per year
