About the role

Pildo Labs is looking for a Senior Aerospace Engineer with 3-5 years of proven project management experience to join our team in Barcelona.

We are an engineering company specialised in the development and implementation of advanced technologies for the aerospace sector. Our main activity is focused on aircplane and helicopter operations, where we are recognised within the European market for our expertise in GNSS and satellite navigation applied to air navigation.

ABOUT THE ROLE The successful candidate will coordinate various European R&D projects related to satellite navigation, air navigation and advanced air mobility.

The candidate will be expected to oversee projects throughout their full lifecycle, from proposal preparation and project planning to technical execution, stakeholder coordination, reporting and final delivery.

We are looking for a proactive and autonomous professional who is comfortable working in multidisciplinary and international environments, managing several projects simultaneously and coordinating both internal technical teams and external partners.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Project Management: Plan, coordinate and monitor aerospace R&D and engineering projects, ensuring that scope, schedule, budget, risks, dissemination activities and deliverables are properly managed.

Stakeholder Coordination: Act as the main point of contact for clients, project partners, public authorities and other relevant stakeholders.

Publicly Funded Projects: Coordinate the technical and administrative execution of national and European publicly funded projects, including the preparation of deliverables, progress reports, reviews and administrative declarations.

Proposal Preparation: Contribute to the preparation of technical and commercial proposals, work plans, budgets, schedules and project documentation.

Research and Development: Analyse current challenges and identify new opportunities in satellite navigation, air traffic management, innovative air mobility that will contribute to the our product roadmap.

Project Execution: Ensure that project objectives and milestones are achieved while maintaining a high standard of technical quality and documentation.

1st INTERNATIONAL PROJECT TO LEAD

The main objective of the first 3 year project is to enhance the resilience, continuity and performance of Communication, Navigation, and Surveillance (CNS) infrastructures through the development and validation of next-generation Positioning, Navigation and Timing (PNT) solutions to increase the robustness of the European ATM system. The project will also focus in the definition of system design and technical requirements for the integration of a new inertial Reference System in a AW-169 Helicopter.

Degree in Aerospace Engineering, Telecommunications Engineering or a related technical field.

Significant professional experience in aerospace, aviation, satellite navigation, air traffic management or a related sectors.

Proven experience managing R&D projects.

Ability to coordinate multidisciplinary teams and external partners.

Strong planning, organisational, communication and problem-solving skills.

Ability to manage several projects and priorities simultaneously.

Excellent written and spoken English.

Availability to participate in international meetings and occasional business travel.

Technical understanding of software and systems engineering processes.
