Data Entry Operator/Computer Operator

Data Entry or Computer Operator accurately transfers, updates, and maintains information from source documents into digital databases, spreadsheets, or company software. They are responsible for verifying data accuracy, generating reports, managing digital filing systems, and ensuring strict confidentiality of sensitive business or personal information. Data Input & Transcription: Typing high volumes of text and numeric data into specified data fields, databases, or pre-formatted screens. [1, 2]

Verification & Cleansing: Reviewing source documents and proofreading entered data to identify and correct typos, grammatical errors, or missing information before final submission. [1, 2]

File & Record Management: Organizing and maintaining both digital records and physical paperwork. Scanning, printing, and backing up files as required. [1, 2, 3]

Report Generation: Creating spreadsheets, charts, and summary reports to assist different organizational departments. [1, 2]

Confidentiality & Security: Adhering to data privacy policies to prevent the misuse or exposure of sensitive financial, medical, or personal information. [1, 2]

Essential Skills & Qualifications

Typing Proficiency: High typing speed and exceptional accuracy are the most critical requirements.

Software Skills: Strong working knowledge of word processing and spreadsheet applications (e.g., Microsoft Office Suite: Excel, Word) and database software.

Pay: ₹13,587.36 - ₹34,475.97 per month
