INTRODUCTION

Reporting directly to the Facility Manager, you will be responsible for supervising the warehouse team to ensure the proper and accurate movement of goods into and out of our Karratha Service Centre/Warehouse.

THE ROLE

Responsible for the proper and accurate movement of goods into and out of the warehouse.

Responsible for leading the warehouse team to ensure zero harm and 100% safety compliance

Responsible for ensuring all warehouse personnel are trained and competent in their designated role

Conduct annual performance reviews of team members and provide coaching on a routine basis

Regularly attend planning meetings with coordination team to plan deliveries and outgoings from the warehouse.

Responsibility to work closely with workshop supervisor(s) to forecast material deliveries and develop packing lists for job execution

Responsible for managing workshop tooling and replacement of worn/ defective tools

Manage workshop consumable levels and coordinate replenishment orders as needed

Ensure that proper quantities of parts as specified are received, correspond with packing slips and purchase orders, and are stored in correct locations.

Timely unpacking, packing and movement of goods in and out of the warehouse.

Maintain procedures and effectively manage warehouse personnel to provide an efficient warehouse operation.

Responsibility to communicate ongoing improvements in safety and efficiency to the facility manager

Regularly communicate with external transport vendors to plan dispatch and delivery from the warehouse

Regularly communicate with regional manager(s) and coordinators to determine changes to min/max levels associated with stocked inventory

Actively participate in continuous improvement projects within the repair operation

Ensure that the annual Physical Inventory Cycle Count is taken in such a manner so to ensure sound and reliable counts and complies with documented procedures.

Ensure that an efficient computerised inventory control system is operating to ensure all material is available when required whilst keeping inventory levels in line with Budget.

Ensures that all delegated works from the Facility Manager are being completed efficiently and reliably.

Reports regularly to the suppliers and Manager, when/if challenges arise, with possible solutions or requests for assistance.

Provides advice and direction on the operation of equipment, tools, machinery and/or plant, in accordance with the manufacturer’s instructions and training.

ABOUT YOU

Essential

Safety driven qualities with the ability to speak up for safety

Minimum 5 years’ team management and leadership experience in Warehousing, Supply Chain or related fields.

Well developed working knowledge, understanding of and experience in warehousing and inventory management

Proven working knowledge of mining inventory, specifically crushing and screening.

Confident working knowledge of an operational repairs warehouse

Well developed working knowledge of ERP systems, ideally SAP.

Forklift license

Basic level of Outlook and Excel

Collabrative and confident written and verbal communication skills, with an ability to communicate with and influence internal and external stakeholders.

Highly organised with the ability to coordinate competing demands and work towards tight deadlines.

Highly motivated, action orientated, and results focused.

Desirable

Experience working in mining or heavy industrial industries.

Experience in loading/unloading goods in accordance with TLIA1001 (secure cargo) and TLID0015 (load and unload goods/cargo)
