About the role
DESCRIPTION
Our WW Operations network delivers millions of packages and smiles to Amazon customers every day. We are looking for a motivated, customer-focused Operations Manager (Outbound) to join our Fulfillment Center in Cajamar, SP. This is a full-time, on-site position, working under 3x2 shift.
In this role, you will lead a team of Area Managers I, Operations Leads, and hourly associates, and will be responsible for engaging your team during their shifts to maintain the highest levels of safety, quality, attendance, and performance. You will also play a key role in maintaining our customer expectations to ensure customer orders are delivered at the right time, to the right location.
Reporting to the Sr. Operations Manager, you will work to continuously improve the functionality and level of service we provide our customers, driving exceeded productivity goals and delivering against our customer promises
Key job responsibilities
Manage your shift directly on the floor – this is a hands-on, tactical role where you are present and leading operations in real time, ensuring the shift runs safely, on time, and at standard
Own a major process directly or indirectly – becoming a subject matter expert in your area
Lead and supervise a team of Area Managers, Operations Leads, and hourly associates in a fast-paced, time-critical environment
Own the overall safety, quality, productivity, attendance, and customer experience during your shift
Make real-time decisions to resolve bottlenecks, adjust labor allocation, and maintain workflow continuity
Monitor metrics and KPIs in real time, identify trends, and execute immediate action plans for improvement
Set and clarify requirements and expectations for Area Managers and Operations Leaders
Support, mentor, and motivate your workforce; develop and implement career development plans for all direct reports
Manage and drive staffing plans, schedules, and performance levels to attain the Business Plan
Drive process improvements and collaborate with support teams (HR, Finance, Facilities, Safety & Security, Loss Prevention, QA, Engineering, IT) to meet business objectives
Stand/walk for up to 12 hours during shifts; work in an environment where the noise level varies and can be loud
A day in the life
You lead a shift in operations. Review the production forecast and allocate resources to achieve it.
Schedule:
3x2 shift pattern (3 days on / 3 off, 2 days on / 2 off);
12-hour shifts (06:00–18:00 or 18:00–05:00);
Availability to work weekends and holidays
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's degree or equivalent
Work a flexible schedule/shift/work area, including weekends, nights, and/or holidays
Experience in people management
Speak, write, and read fluently in English
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Experience with performance metrics and process improvement and Lean techniques
