Your work profile

The Java Developer is responsible for designing, developing, and deploying scalable microservices-based applications using Java and Spring Boot.

This role involves building RESTful APIs, collaborating with cross-functional teams, troubleshooting application issues, and ensuring high-quality software delivery in an Agile development environment.

Key skills required

Education - Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field

5–9 years of experience in software development with strong hands-on experience in Java, Spring Boot, and Microservices architecture

Proven experience in developing and deploying RESTful APIs using Spring MVC and related frameworks

Strong understanding of Spring Boot, Spring MVC, Spring JPA, OAuth2, and Microservices development

Good understanding of PostgreSQL or other relational databases

Understanding of Kubernetes and containerization technologies is an added advantage

Experience with version control systems such as Git

Familiarity with DevOps practices and Agile SCRUM methodologies

Excellent communication and collaboration abilities, with a proven track record of working effectively within a team environment

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, dedicated to delivering high-quality solutions

Ability to troubleshoot and debug issues efficiently in the codebase

Proactive attitude, logical thinking, accountability, and strong team-player mindset

Preferred Qualifications

Experience working with Kubernetes and container orchestration platforms

Exposure to CI/CD pipelines and DevOps tools

Understanding of cloud-based application deployment environments

Experience working in Agile software development teams

Familiarity with secure application development and authentication frameworks such as OAuth2
