Job Description

Collins Aerospace’s Strategic Solutions team is looking for an exceptionally motivated Engineer that is passionate about collaborating with High-Performance Teams to create mission critical solutions supporting Integrated Mission Systems.

Our Sr. Principal Software Product Owner works in an exciting, adaptive, and engaging environment enabling rapid learning to drive success.

The candidate will serve as Product Owner for our Graphical User Interface (GUI) domain focused. This position will support the shaping of the future of defense systems for the armed forces. This position is located onsite in Richardson, TX

What You Will Do:

You will promote a culture of predictable execution intertwined with fun and collaboration where the success of the entire program team is the number one priority. Success of one team should never come at the expense of the others.

You will act as the Product Owner (PO) for the GUI team focused on requirements decomposition, Cameo modeling, software development and troubleshooting within a DevSecOps Pipeline in a Cloud environment.

You will work directly with the Chief Engineer, User Experience (UX) Engineer, Scrum Masters, and Software Engineers performing software development work for Mission Systems applications.

You will interact with cross-functional teams and stakeholders on an extremely large program across multiple locations.

You will have the opportunity to mentor Interns, Junior, Senior and Principal engineers.

Qualifications You Must Have:

Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 10 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 7 years of experience or in absence of a degree, 14 years of relevant experience.

The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.

Previous experience as a Product Owner following Agile / Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe).

Previous experience with user interface development and GUI frameworks.

Previous experience with microservice architectures and software development.

Qualifications We Prefer

Active and transferable U.S. government issued security clearance.

Experience with Agile SDLC (Software Development Life Cycle).

Experience with UML, SysML, MBSE and CAMEO Modeling tools.

Experience with Jira.

The salary range for this role is 132,400 USD - 251,600 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.

This role is a U.S.-based role. If the successful candidate resides in a U.S. territory, the appropriate pay structure and benefits will apply.
