About the role
Job Summary: The Accountant will be responsible for managing the financial operations of company, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting, compliance with regulatory requirements, and effective budget management. This role requires a detail-oriented professional with strong analytical skills to support the financial health and growth of the business.
Key Responsibilities:
Financial Recordkeeping: Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records, including general ledger entries, accounts payable, and accounts receivable.
Financial Reporting: Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements (balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements) in compliance with GAAP or local accounting standards.
Budgeting and Forecasting: Assist in developing annual budgets, monitor expenditures, and provide financial forecasts to support business planning.
Tax Compliance: Prepare and file tax returns (e.g., GST, VAT, or income tax) and ensure compliance with local tax regulations and deadlines.
Payroll Management: Process payroll, calculate employee deductions, and ensure timely payments while maintaining compliance with labor laws.
Accounts Reconciliation: Reconcile bank statements, credit card accounts, and other financial accounts to ensure accuracy and resolve discrepancies.
Audit Support: Coordinate with external auditors, providing necessary documentation and ensuring adherence to audit requirements.
Cost Management: Analyze financial data to identify cost-saving opportunities and improve operational efficiency.
Software Utilization: Use accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero, or Tally) to streamline financial processes and generate reports.
Advisory Role: Provide financial insights and recommendations to management for informed decision-making and strategic planning.
Compliance: Ensure adherence to all relevant financial regulations, company policies, and industry standards.
Qualifications and Skills:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
3 to 10 years of experience in accounting or financial management, preferably in an NGO/ College/ Hospital environment.
Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero, Tally) and MS Office (especially Excel).
Strong knowledge of local tax laws and accounting standards.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail.
Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Strong communication skills to interact with team members, vendors and external stakeholders.
High level of integrity and ability to handle confidential information.
Working Conditions:
Standard office hours with occasional overtime during financial reporting periods or tax season.
Mandatory to operate from office location
Compensation:
Competitive salary based on experience and qualifications.
Pay: ₹15,000.00 - ₹50,000.00 per month
