Job Summary

Lead the end-to-end delivery of Risk & CFCR portfolio’s GRA and CRA data processes, ensuring high-quality, accurate, and timely execution of risk assessment activities. Manage data sourcing, governance, quality controls, and regulatory compliance across CFCC risk assessments, including AML, Sanctions, ABC, and Fraud. Drive data transformation, analytics, and automation initiatives while supporting BCBS239 and enterprise data policy requirements. Oversee project delivery, risk and issue management, governance reporting, and control assurance activities. Build strong stakeholder relationships across business, risk, data, and technology teams to enable effective decision-making and regulatory compliance through trusted data and insights.

Key Responsibilities

Own and manage the end-to-end delivery of Group Risk Assessment (GRA) and Compliance Risk Assessment (CRA) data processes, ensuring timely, accurate, and high-quality execution of risk assessment activities.

Support data identification, sourcing, onboarding, and management across CFCC Risk Assessments, including AML, Sanctions, Anti-Bribery & Corruption (ABC), Fraud, and other RAA products, covering Risk Identification, Risk Assessment, and Risk Measurement processes.

Perform data pre-processing, transformation, enrichment, validation, and preparation activities in alignment with approved methodologies, business requirements, and regulatory expectations.

Establish, execute, and continuously enhance Data Quality (DQ) controls, including completeness, accuracy, uniqueness, consistency, reconciliation, critical data element (CDE) validation, and ongoing assurance activities.

Drive data governance activities, including identification and tiering of Critical Data Elements (CDEs), maintenance of data lineage documentation, execution of data quality assessments, and completion of data service level agreements (SLAs).

Support BCBS239 compliance initiatives and contribute to strengthening data management, data controls, and regulatory reporting frameworks across CFCC Risk Assessments. Manage the data handshake and lineage for all our systems in-scope

Identify, recommend, and implement improvements to data processes, controls, automation, analytics, and operational efficiencies across the CFCC Risk Assessment landscape.

Support the delivery of strategic initiatives and change programmes by contributing to project planning, project initiation documentation, budget tracking, milestone management, dependency tracking, benefits realisation, and project closure activities.

Develop a comprehensive understanding of CFCC Risk Assessment deliverables, timelines, dependencies, and milestones to provide effective project oversight and delivery governance.

Support risk, issue, and governance management by coordinating reporting and escalation activities to relevant working groups, governance forums, and committees.

Execute and support control testing, evidence collection, process reviews, DOI maintenance, and ad hoc quality assurance activities across GRA and CRA processes.

Build and maintain strong working relationships with key business, technology, data, and risk stakeholders, fostering collaboration, trust, and effective delivery outcomes.

Support the implementation and adoption of enterprise data policies and standards covering Data Quality, Data Privacy, Records Management, Data Sovereignty, Responsible AI, Explainable AI, and Cyber Security requirements.

Support analytical and management information (MI) reporting requirements through advanced data analysis, data mining, visualisation, and insights generation for CFCC and broader business stakeholders.

Provide logical data modelling, analytics support, and data enablement services to facilitate risk assessment, regulatory compliance, decision-making, and wider CFCC data consumption.

Skills and Experience

Compliance Policies and Standards

Compliance Risk Assessment

SQL and Python (additional scripting/statistical programming languages are welcome)

Big Data architecture and knowledge of PySpark

Applied experience with machine learning on large data sets

Statistical, time-series, and predictive modelling, as well as NLP, machine learning, forecasting and optimization

Statistical data analysis techniques such as multivariate analysis, stochastic models, sampling methods

Qualifications

Minimum 5 years of experience in Compliance, Financial Crime Compliance (FCC), Audit, and/or Regulatory Risk Management at country, regional, or group level, with exposure to data governance, data sourcing, data policies, and data conduct.

5+ years of experience in data analytics, programming, and data management, with strong proficiency in Python, SQL, and data-driven analytical techniques.

Strong understanding of banking regulations, regulatory frameworks, and industry-leading risk management practices.

Good knowledge of Standard Chartered’ s Enterprise Risk Management Framework (ERMF), Principal Risk Types, and CFCC operational processes.

Experience in establishing, strengthening, and monitoring BAU controls, ensuring effective control execution and governance within a GBS environment.

Sound understanding of business products, services, processes, and the associated control frameworks that support effective risk management and operational delivery.

Strong knowledge of Compliance and Financial Crime Risk disciplines, including AML, Sanctions, Customer Due Diligence (CDD), and Anti-Bribery & Corruption (ABC), as well as relevant global policies and regulatory requirements.

Ability to collaborate effectively with business, technology, and data teams to develop and deliver next-generation data products, automation, and analytics solutions.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to evaluate complex business challenges and recommend data-driven solutions.

Demonstrated ability to coordinate multiple workstreams, manage interdependencies, and engage with diverse stakeholders in a complex and fast-paced environment.

Proven experience working with and influencing senior stakeholders across business and functional teams.

Strong drafting, communication, and analytical skills, with the ability to produce high-quality reports, presentations, and business documentation.

Ability to identify, assess, and manage risks while supporting effective decision-making and control outcomes.

A collaborative team player with strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build effective working relationships across functions and geographies.
