Position Summary

We are seeking an energetic, dependable, and organized Assistant Site Manager to support the daily operations of our afterschool academy. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working with children, leading a team, and creating a positive learning environment.

The Assistant Site Manager works alongside the Site Manager to ensure the program runs smoothly, staff are supported, and students receive a safe and engaging afterschool experience.

Responsibilities

Assist with the daily operation of the afterschool program.

Help supervise and support program staff and coaches.

Ensure student safety and maintain appropriate staff-to-student ratios.

Welcome students during check-in and assist with dismissal procedures.

Build positive relationships with students, families, and school staff.

Help manage behavior using positive reinforcement and consistent expectations.

Assist with homework support, enrichment activities, and sports programming.

Ensure activities begin and end on schedule.

Maintain attendance records and program documentation.

Communicate important updates with the Site Manager.

Help prepare supplies and maintain an organized, clean program space.

Step into a leadership role when the Site Manager is unavailable.

Qualifications

Experience working with children in an educational, recreation, childcare, or afterschool setting.

Previous leadership or supervisory experience preferred.

Strong communication and organizational skills.

Reliable, positive, and professional.

Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.

Must be able to lead activities both indoors and outdoors.

Schedule

Monday–Friday

Approximately 2:45 PM – 6:45 PM

Additional hours may be available for staff meetings, training, and school events.
