Position Information

The NSW Department of Education provides, funds and regulates education services for NSW students from early childhood to secondary school, delivering world-class education through its public schools and providing funding support to non-government schools. About the Role

The School Administrative Manager is responsible for the efficient management of school financial and administrative systems, as well as supervision and training of school administration officers. Manages the provision of support for school activities and routines, including student welfare and wellbeing, and works with the school principal, the school executive and teaching staff as required.

Essential Requirements

Working with Children Check Clearance

First Aid Certificate or willingness to undertake First Aid training.

Administration of Medications – training to be provided based on student needs.

Additional Information

The School Administrative Manager will commence in Term 3 2026 and play a key role in establishing the new public school and public preschool. The preschool will open on Day 1, Term 1 2027, followed by the primary school on Day 1, Term 1 2028.

Proudly located within the Albury Network of Schools, the new primary school and preschool is situated in Wirlinga, a rapidly growing suburb of Albury, NSW.

The new school will feature modern facilities, including 18 classrooms with shared common areas and multipurpose learning spaces, specialist support learning facilities, a sports field and a multipurpose sports court, a library, and a multipurpose hall. The preschool will comprise three classes supporting approximately 120 students each fortnight.

The successful applicant will lead and manage a team of School Administrative Officers and work closely with the principal to establish effective administrative, financial and workforce management systems that support the successful opening and ongoing operation of both the preschool and primary school. A strong focus on customer service, continuous improvement, compliance, financial governance, workforce administration and efficient systems will be essential.
