Join the Women’s Health and Paediatric Clinical Streams at South Western Sydney Local Health District and make a meaningful contribution to the delivery of high-quality healthcare services for women, children and families across one of NSW’s largest and most diverse health districts. In this role, you will develop insightful data analysis and reporting solutions that support clinicians and managers to make informed decisions, enhance patient experiences and drive service performance. Working closely with clinical leaders, managers and Digital Health teams, you will play a key role in improving data quality, streamlining business processes and supporting strategic priorities across the district. Using contemporary analytics and reporting tools, you will create dashboards and visual reports that translate complex information into practical, actionable insights. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a collaborative and innovative team where your expertise will directly influence service planning, quality improvement initiatives and better health outcomes for our communities.

Selection Criteria

To help us assess your suitability for the role, please tell us as much as you can about yourself in response to the questions below.

Tertiary qualifications in a Health or Data related field and/or equivalent related experience.

Describe your experience analysing and interpreting healthcare data to support service planning, performance monitoring or quality improvement initiatives. Please provide an example of a report, dashboard, data analysis project or business intelligence solution you have developed, including the tools used, your approach to stakeholder engagement, and how the information informed decision-making or improved outcomes.

Describe a time when you worked collaboratively with clinicians, managers or other stakeholders to identify a business need and develop a data-driven solution. Please outline how you gathered requirements, managed competing priorities, communicated findings to non-technical audiences, and achieved successful outcomes.

Describe your experience developing dashboards, performance reports or data visualisation tools that support operational or strategic decision-making. Please outline the software or platforms used (e.g. Power BI, SQL, Excel or similar), how you identified stakeholder requirements, and how the final product was used to improve service delivery, performance monitoring or business outcomes.

Describe a time when you identified an opportunity to improve data quality, streamline a business process, or enhance the use of data within an organisation. Please explain your approach, how you engaged stakeholders, any challenges encountered, and the outcomes achieved for the service or organisation.

Applicants must possess an Australian C-Class driver's license (including P1 or P. Those who hold a C class license (P1 or P2 included) from a state other than NSW must obtain a NSW C class (P1 or P2 included) license within three months of appointment. Learner's licenses are not permitted.
