About the role
Overview:
An RHPAM OpenShift Support Engineer is responsible for deploying, maintaining, troubleshooting, and optimizing Red Hat Process Automation Manager (RHPAM) applications running on OpenShift (Kubernetes platform).
This role sits at the intersection of:
Middleware (RHPAM / KIE Server / Business Central)
Container platforms (OpenShift / Kubernetes)
DevOps practices
Enterprise workflow automation (BPM, DMN, Rules Engine)
Responsibilities:
A. Platform Support (Primary Function)
Monitor RHPAM applications on OpenShift
Ensure:
High availability
Performance stability
Perform:
Health checks
Capacity planning
B. Deployment & Configuration
Deploy RHPAM components:
KIE Server
Business Central
Configure:
OpenShift templates / Operators
Environment variables
Secrets and ConfigMaps
C. Troubleshooting & Incident Management
Diagnose:
Pod crashes / restarts
Memory/CPU issues
Integration failures
Analyze:
Application logs
OpenShift events
Resolve:
Deployment failures
Process execution errors
D. CI/CD & Release Support
Support build/deploy pipelines
Automate:
Application deployments
Rollbacks
Validate releases across environments
Requirements:
Strong understanding of:
Business Process Management
Decision Models (DMN)
Drools Rules Engine
Hands-on with:
KIE Server
Business Central
Knowledge of:
Case management
Process deployment and monitoring
OpenShift / Kubernetes
Experience with:
Pods, Deployments, StatefulSets
Routes, Services, Ingress
