Senior Functional Safety Manager

Role Summary

Lead the functional safety execution for next-generation Automotive SoCs enabling L4 autonomous driving and humanoid robotics. You will drive compliance with ISO 26262 & IEC 61508 across the complete product lifecycle, working closely with architecture, hardware, software, verification, security, product management, and customers to deliver safety-compliant, high-performance semiconductor solutions.

Key Responsibilities

Own the functional safety execution for complex SoC programs targeting Automotive and Robotics markets.

Lead the development of safety concepts, safety architectures, and safety cases in accordance with ISO 26262 & IEC 61508.

Oversee safety analyses including FMEA, FMEDA, FTA, DFA and safety requirements allocation.

Guide cross-functional teams through the safety lifecycle, ensuring integration of safety into system architecture, IP, hardware, software, and verification.

Support customer engagements, safety assessments, and independent audits as a functional safety authority.

Shape future safety methodologies to address emerging challenges in AI-enabled autonomous systems and robotics.

Qualifications

Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related discipline.

14-20 years of semiconductor or embedded systems development experience, including significant leadership in Functional Safety.

Deep expertise in ISO 26262 & IEC 61508 for the development of safety-critical SoCs.

Proven experience with safety architecture, safety analysis, and safety case development for automotive and industrial semiconductor products.

Strong understanding of SoC architecture, hardware/software co-design, IP integration, verification, and system-level safety.

Experience working with automotive OEMs, Tier 1 suppliers, or ecosystem partners in autonomous driving or advanced robotics is highly desirable.

Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence engineering and executive teams.
