The Opportunity:
UST is looking for Validation Technician
Responsibilities:
Understand the FW and platform features and the test cases to validate them
Execution of test cases in post silicon and pre-silicon environment, provide the test results and report defects
Triage, file and follow through defects till closure
Perform bug reproduction and fix verification activities
Prepare test systems by assembling the required hardware, flashing FW and installing and configuring OS and drivers.
Work closely with UST and customer teams in achieving the deliverables
Record activity progress in JIRA Publish daily and weekly status reports
Required Skills:
Bachelor degree in Electrical/ Computer engineering or related field
1+ Yrs experience in validation of BIOS/FW/platform of Server/Client computers
Knowledge of various subsystems and interfaces in a Server/ PC Client system
Ability to understand BIOS/FW/product features and execute the test cases
Ability to assemble computer system
Ability to understand, articulate and isolate the issues observed during test execution
Commitment to work night shift and weekend when requried
Good communication and interpersonal skills to work with different teams
Experience in using SIMICS is a plus.
