Male Support Worker

Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Support Worker to provide personal care to male service users within a fixed location.

In this role, you will play a vital part in supporting clients with disabilities, including those with autism, by fostering a safe, respectful, and empowering environment. Duties

Assist clients with daily activities such as personal care, mobility, and medication administration, ensuring safety and dignity at all times

Implement individual support plans using techniques like applied behaviour analysis to promote positive behaviours and skill development

Monitor health conditions and respond promptly to any changes or emergencies, providing patient care as needed

Collaborate with families, healthcare professionals, and educators to deliver consistent and effective support tailored to each individual’s needs

Maintain accurate documentation of care provided, behavioral progress, and any incidents or concerns

Foster a respectful and inclusive environment that encourages independence, self-esteem, and community participation

Experience

Experience working with individuals diagnosed with autism and disabilities

Familiarity with medication administration procedures in a caregiving context

Strong understanding of patient care principles, including safety protocols and emergency response skills

Excellent communication skills to effectively engage with clients, families, and multidisciplinary teams

Ability to remain patient, empathetic, and energetic while managing multiple responsibilities in a dynamic environment

Pay: £12.71 per hour
