About the role

People Services Delivery Partner

Location: Hybrid – 1-2 days per week in our Bradford office with flexibility to attend as required.

Contract: Full-time | Permanent

Salary: £48,000 per annum

We're looking for an experienced People Services Delivery Partner to lead a high-quality, coaching-led Employee Relations and People Administration service across our organisation. Reporting to the People Services Manager – Service Delivery, this is a key leadership role, responsible for ensuring colleagues and managers receive a seamless, professional and customer-focused service that supports the organisation's people priorities.

Combining Employee Relations expertise, employment law knowledge and strong people leadership, you'll lead a team delivering expert advice, operational excellence and continuous improvement. Acting as a trusted partner to leaders across the business, you'll help shape an efficient and scalable People Services Delivery function that builds manager capability, enhances colleague experience and delivers practical and commercially focused people solutions.

What You'll Do

Lead and develop a high-performing People Services team, bringing together Employee Relations and People Administration into a seamless, customer-focused service that delivers consistent, high-quality support to colleagues and managers across the organisation. You'll create a culture of accountability, continuous learning and service excellence, ensuring the team is recognised as a trusted and credible partner.

Provide expert leadership on complex and high-risk employee relations matters, including disciplinary, grievance, absence, capability, organisational change, restructures, senior leader cases and matters with significant legal, financial or reputational risk. You'll ensure robust, fair and legally compliant outcomes while balancing commercial and organisational priorities.

Build strong, influential relationships with leaders and stakeholders across the business, developing a deep understanding of operational challenges, workforce trends and organisational priorities. You'll use this insight to provide proactive advice, identify risks and opportunities early, and deliver people solutions that support business performance and colleague experience.

Champion a coaching-led approach to people management, empowering managers to confidently navigate sensitive and complex people matters. You'll develop capability, challenge constructively where required and foster a culture where managers take ownership of people decisions, supported by expert guidance and coaching.

Act as the organisation's senior Employee Relations expert, applying deep employment law knowledge and commercial judgement to minimise risk, support decision-making and ensure people practices remain legally compliant, pragmatic and aligned to best practice.

Use data, trends and insight to drive proactive interventions and continuous improvement, identifying recurring themes, organisational risks and opportunities to improve manager capability, colleague experience and service effectiveness. You'll translate complex information into meaningful actions and measurable outcomes.

Lead the ongoing development and transformation of People Services, reviewing end-to-end HR administration and employee relations processes, simplifying ways of working, removing inefficiencies and creating a more streamlined, responsive and scalable service that meets the evolving needs of the business.

Drive innovation, technology adoption and automation, maximising the use of systems, self-service solutions and emerging technologies, including AI, to improve service delivery, reduce manual effort and enhance both colleague and manager experiences.

Partner with colleague representative groups and key internal stakeholders to build positive employee relations, strengthen engagement and ensure that organisational change, policy development and people initiatives are delivered collaboratively and effectively.

Play a key role in shaping the future direction of People Services, ensuring the function remains commercially focused, operationally effective and aligned to organisational objectives while delivering an outstanding experience for colleagues, managers and leaders alike.

You'll Bring

Extensive senior-level Employee Relations experience within a large, complex organisation, with a strong track record of managing complex, high-risk and sensitive people matters.

Expert knowledge of UK employment law, with the ability to provide pragmatic, commercially focused advice and sound judgement in complex situations.

Proven experience leading complex investigations, organisational change activity and cases involving senior stakeholders.

Strong coaching, influencing and relationship-building skills, with the ability to build manager capability and confidence at all levels.

Experience leading, developing and motivating high-performing HR, Employee Relations or People Services teams.

A collaborative and credible stakeholder partner, able to build trusted relationships across the business and influence positive outcomes.

Experience delivering service improvements, process optimisation and organisational change within HR, People Services or shared service environments.

Data-driven and commercially minded, using insight, trends and performance measures to inform decisions and improve service delivery.

A continuous improvement mindset, with the confidence to challenge existing approaches, embrace innovation and drive positive change.
