About the role

The Talent Acquisition Specialist serves as a recruiting expert for Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) hiring across the organization. This individual partners with operational leaders to develop recruiting strategies, proactively source passive clinical talent, build long-term candidate pipelines, and manage the full recruitment lifecycle for BCBA positions.

Success in this role is driven by relationship building, strategic sourcing, employer branding, and delivering an exceptional candidate experience in a highly competitive talent market.

Primary Responsibilities

Strategic Talent Acquisition

Own the full-cycle recruitment process for Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) positions across multiple markets.

Develop and execute market-specific recruiting strategies that align with organizational growth goals and regional hiring demands.

Partner closely with Clinical Operations and executive leadership to forecast workforce needs, develop hiring plans, and proactively address staffing challenges.

Serve as a trusted talent advisor to hiring managers by providing market insights, compensation trends, candidate availability, and recruiting best practices.

Drive recruitment efforts to achieve hiring goals, maintaining an average of five (5) or more full-time BCBA hires per month while balancing quality, speed, and candidate experience.

Continuously evaluate recruiting processes and recommend improvements that increase hiring efficiency and reduce time-to-fill.

Champion a positive, inclusive, and candidate-focused recruiting culture while ensuring alignment with company values and hiring standards.

Talent Sourcing & Pipeline Development

Develop innovative sourcing strategies to identify and engage highly qualified BCBA talent through LinkedIn Recruiter, Indeed, professional organizations, referrals, networking events, social media, and other sourcing platforms.

Build and maintain robust pipelines of active and passive candidates to support both immediate hiring needs and long-term organizational growth.

Create personalized outreach campaigns that effectively communicate the organization's mission, culture, and career opportunities.

Cultivate long-term relationships with prospective candidates through ongoing engagement and talent community initiatives.

Reconnect with previous applicants, silver-medalist candidates, former employees, and referral networks to maximize existing talent pools.

Utilize data and market intelligence to identify new sourcing opportunities and improve candidate conversion rates.

Candidate Experience & Recruitment Process Management

Conduct initial candidate screenings to assess qualifications, experience, licensure, and organizational fit.

Coordinate and manage all stages of the interview process, partnering with clinical leaders to ensure a seamless and timely experience.

Serve as the primary point of contact for candidates throughout the recruitment journey, providing consistent communication, transparency, and exceptional service.

Prepare and extend employment offers while collaborating with Human Resources and hiring leaders to facilitate successful onboarding.

Maintain accurate candidate records and recruiting activity within the Applicant Tracking System (ATS), ensuring compliance with organizational and regulatory standards.

Employer & Talent Branding Support

Support social media recruiting initiatives to drive candidate applications.

Represent KAS at career fairs, professional conferences, networking and university events.

Build strategic partnerships with graduate ABA programs, universities, professional associations, and certification organizations to develop emerging talent pipelines.

Promote the organization's culture, mission, career development opportunities, and employee value proposition through multiple recruiting channels.

Collaboration & Continuous Improvement

Foster strong partnerships with Clinical Directors, Operations leaders, Human Resources, and executive leadership to support organizational hiring initiatives.

Participate in strategic workforce planning, succession planning, and retention discussions to strengthen the organization's overall talent strategy.

Champion a positive, inclusive, and candidate-focused recruiting culture while ensuring alignment with company values and hiring standards.

Contribute to special projects and talent acquisition initiatives that support organizational growth and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

Required:

Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, Psychology, or related field (or equivalent experience).

At least 3 years of full-cycle recruiting experience specifically with filling BCBA roles

Demonstrated experience recruiting for clinical or hard-to-fill roles in healthcare, behavioral health, education, or related fields.

Strong sourcing, interviewing, and candidate assessment skills.

Excellent communication, relationship-building, and organizational skills.

Experience with ATS systems and recruitment tools.

Experience in a multi-site or fast-growing organization.

Knowledge of ABA industry credentialing, licensure, and background check requirements.
