Operations Manager

About the Role:

Apex Paramedics is hiring an Operations Manager to lead day-to-day field operations in the Denver Metro Area. This visible, hands-on leader supports crews, coaches, Field Supervisors, solves operational problems, and keeps Apex standards consistent in the field.

What you'll own:

-Daily field operations: coverage, unit readiness, crew support, and service delivery.

-Field Supervisor coaching: clear expectations, consistent issue handling, and follow-through.

-Communication between Operations, Dispatch, Fleet, Clinical, Administration, supervisors, instructors, and crews.

-Operational performance: response readiness, chute times, documentation, safety, attendance, appearance standards, and vehicle readiness.

-Real-time problem solving and professional escalation when issues need higher-level support.

-Employee accountability and retention by setting standards, addressing concerns, and helping people stay engaged.

Qualifications:

-EMS or ambulance operations leadership experience preferred.

-Three or more years of management experience preferred.

-Strong communication, organization, coaching, and follow-through.

-Comfort using reports, systems, and basic performance data to guide decisions.

-Must maintain certifications required by Apex Paramedics, the State of Colorado, and applicable national standards at the EMT or Paramedic level.

-AHA Instructor certification preferred.

Expectations:

-Be present in the operation and visible to supervisors and crews.

-Work across departments while keeping day-to-day operations leadership as the core focus.

-Support coverage needs when defined by leadership.

-Success means supervisors are supported and accountable, crews get clear communication and timely follow-up, and operational issues are addressed before they become repeat problems.

Pay: $80,000.00 - $100,000.00 per year
