Job Description
The Corporate Functions Risk (CFR) Data Governance Analyst supports the execution of Corporate Functions Risk Data Governance programs, helping ensure key reports, Authorized Data Sources (ADS), data quality controls, and governance processes are managed in accordance with Enterprise Data Governance Policy requirements and regulatory expectations.
This role partners with business line stakeholders, Enterprise Data Governance (EDG), Technology teams, and Risk Managers to support key report and authorized data source inventory accuracy, policy compliance, and effective governance practices across Corporate Functions. The analyst compiles governance reporting, tracks deliverables, maintains governance documentation and inventories, supports change management and attestation processes, contributes to process improvement initiatives, identifies and escalates risks/issues as appropriate. Serving as a liaison between business stakeholders and governance partners, this role helps drive consistent implementation of enterprise data governance requirements.
Position Highlights
Support implementation and ongoing execution of Enterprise Data Governance Policy requirements within Corporate Functions
Assist with developing and maintaining procedures, job aids, process documentation, and training materials
Monitor completion of governance activities and help identify, document, and escalate compliance gaps, issues, and exceptions
Support governance controls, attestations, and evidence collection activities
Partner with Enterprise Data Governance and Technology teams to implement process improvements and governance enhancements
Maintain key Data Governance inventories, including Key Reports, Authorized Data Sources (ADS), feeders, and supporting governance artifacts
Support identification, tracking, reporting, and remediation monitoring of data defects and data management issues affecting key reports, authorized data sources, and business processes
Support intake, change management, attestation, and decommissioning activities throughout the governance lifecycle
Perform inventory quality reviews, reconciliation activities, and data validation checks to improve accuracy and completeness
Partner with report owners, data owners, and business stakeholders to maintain current and accurate governance information
Participate in process improvement initiatives that strengthen data governance and reduce operational risk
Support reporting and analysis related to inventory health, data quality trends, compliance status, attestations, and governance metrics
Build effective working relationships with business stakeholders, Risk Managers, Enterprise Data Governance, and Technology partners to support consistent implementation of governance requirements
Participate in governance forums, working groups, and project meetings
Communicate policy requirements, governance expectations, and program updates to stakeholders
Basic Qualifications
Bachelor's degree, or equivalent work experience
One to two years of experience in data governance activities
Preferred Skills and Experience
2-4 years of applicable experience in Data Governance, Data Management, Risk Management, Regulatory Reporting, Business Analysis, Project Coordination, or related disciplines
Intermediate knowledge of Enterprise Data Governance principles, practices, and controls and regulatory expectations
Experience building executive reporting and governance metrics
Understanding of BCBS 239 principles and risk data aggregation and reporting concepts
Experience supporting Data Governance, Data Management, Regulatory Reporting, Risk Management, or related programs
Knowledge of Key Reports, Authorized Data Sources (ADS) and data quality processes
Understanding of Risk and Control Self-Assessment (RCSA) frameworks and operational risk management practices
Experience analyzing complex business processes, systems, reports, and data flows
Strong analytical, facilitation, process improvement, and project management skills
Ability to translate policy requirements into practical business processes and governance solutions
Strong stakeholder management and relationship-building skills
Effective presentation, interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills
Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, SharePoint, reporting tools, and governance platforms
Experience with Collibra, Archer, LEAP, Power BI, or similar governance tools preferred
Banking, financial services, regulatory, or risk management experience preferred
Hybrid/flexible schedule
The role offers a hybrid/flexible schedule, which means there's an in-office expectation of 3 or more days per week and the flexibility to work outside the office location for the other days.

The salary range reflects figures based on the primary location, which is listed first. The actual range for the role may differ based on the location of the role. In addition to salary, U.S. Bank offers a comprehensive benefits package, including incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase 401(k) contribution and pension (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). Pay Range: $81,515.00 - $95,900.00
