Job Purpose

Drive the growth and development of a high-value multinational client portfolio within the Global Network Banking (GNB) business, providing a balanced risk/reward framework while driving multi-country business origination and corridor growth.

Serve as the Corporate Banker and primary point of contact for multinational corporations with regional treasury or headquarters structures, spanning key regional markets.

Enhance the quality of client relationships by providing strategic content, corporate finance advisory, and sophisticated multi-country solutions to reach trusted advisor status with regional executives, treasurers, and key decision-makers.

Set clear strategic priorities to build competitive strengths, deepen wallet penetration, and establish a highly differentiated coverage model for regional multinational corporations.

Foster and leverage relationships inside and outside the organization, collaborating closely with Product, Risk, and in-country teams to deliver a unified, best-in-class banking experience.

Leveraging Citi's unparalleled network spanning over 90 countries, GNB provides a single, integrated platform for clients to manage their global banking needs. Our role is to deliver the full breadth of Citi's solutions - from cash management, trade finance, and FX management to strategic advisory and credit - enabling our clients to navigate the complexities of international markets, optimize their treasury and supply chain operations, manage risks, and achieve their global growth ambitions.

The Regional Account Manager (RAM) is a senior member of a unique global relationship network that is widely regarded by global players as being best-in-class in terms of client coverage and delivery of banking solutions. The RAM acts as the central strategic advisor, orchestrating Citi's regional resources to deliver a unified banking experience.

This role supports a holistic, end-to-end, global approach to serving Citi's most strategically important multinational clients. As part of an origination team, the role involves a significant amount of client contact both face-to-face and virtually, across multiple regional markets, requiring close coordination with product specialists and local banking franchises.

Key Responsibilities

Engage in strategic dialogue with clients' senior management, opening access to the highest levels of their organization to position Citi as the core banking partner across the region.

Build new and nurture existing relationships with regional executives, treasurers, and key decision-makers to become a trusted advisor on regional strategy, market navigation, treasury, and risk management.

Develop a profound understanding of the client's regional and global business strategy to anticipate needs and propose sophisticated, multi-country solutions.

Maintain high-level engagement and strategic dialogue to position Citi as the core banking partner across the region.

Lead and assist the banker team in digging deeper to proactively identify clients' full needs across treasury, trade, financing, and risk management in the regional context, providing strong personal leadership and mentorship.

Implement calling plans to ensure business development is pursued systematically across the client base, acting as the designated senior calling officer for selected intensive users of Citi's global network.

Deliver the annual budgeted revenue growth developed in agreement with Product partners, driving specific multi-country business origination and wallet expansion initiatives.

Architect and manage a regional pipeline for complex, multi-jurisdictional opportunities, ensuring a coordinated approach to deal execution.

Partner with product specialists to design and implement regional solutions, such as regional liquidity structures and cross-border financing, while maintaining strong knowledge of complex credit structures.

Ensure full compliance with internal and regulatory policies on Risk, Control, Know Your Customer (KYC), and Anti-Money Laundering (AML), fostering the highest standards of ethics, control, and risk management.

Development Value

Lead a high-profile and strategically significant regional banking portfolio with full commercial accountability.

Develop commercial skills across the full Citi product range for large-cap, globally significant Multi National Client (MNC) clients across diverse regional markets.

Broaden senior relationship management, origination, corporate banking, and sales skills across a multi-market, multi-cultural environment.

Deepen knowledge of Services, Markets, Trade, Risk Management, and Financing products and solutions.

Develop and refine credit skills and Corporate Finance advisory capabilities.

Exercise senior leadership with increasing commercial independence and full regional accountability.

Gain exposure to an open, multicultural, and diverse working environment spanning multiple geographies.

Coordinate and foster regional relationships across the corridor.

Establish a clear pathway to senior leadership within Citi's regional or global Corporate Banking franchise.

Knowledge / Experience

Demonstrates industry and product expertise across Cash Management, Trade Finance, Markets, FX, Derivatives, Loan Products, and Capital Markets products.

Possess significant senior-level work experience within banking or financial services organizations, with a strong track record of managing and growing large, complex multinational client relationships.

Maintain deep familiarity with regional corporate culture, business practices, and the strategic priorities of leading MNCs internationally.

Show relevant Credit/Risk experience as a balanced and commercially disciplined risk taker.

Demonstrate a proven origination track record across multi-product, cross-border transactions.

Apply knowledge of regional accounting, legal, and compliance principles and procedures relating to the role.

Qualifications

Hold a Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, Economics, or a related field, with an MBA, CFA, or other advanced degree preferred.

Demonstrate a high level of relevant experience within a similar senior banking role.

Show a proven track record of collaboration with multiple corporate banking stakeholders including coverage teams, risk, and products.

Possess comprehensive knowledge of corporate banking business including related products, pertinent regulations, and the lending and credit approval process.

Demonstrate leadership, organizational, negotiation, presentation, client-relationship building, analytical, and credit skills.

Consistently demonstrate clear and concise written and verbal communication at the most senior levels.

Show experience in originating, structuring, and executing complex transactions and financings.

Demonstrate experience with large, global corporate clients across capital markets, derivatives, credit, cash management, trade, finance, and securities products.

Competencies

Excellent written and verbal communication and executive presentation skills

Fluency in English (spoken and written) is essential. Having Dutch language skills is a plus

Ability to efficiently manage complex, multi-stakeholder partnerships across geographies and functions

Flexibility and adaptability in navigating complex and ambiguous environments

Highly motivated, self-driven, and self-confident

Good judgement, maturity, and cultural sensitivity

This Role is a “Controlled Function” Role as defined by the Central Bank of Ireland Reform Act 2010 and Principal Regulations 2011, and amending Regulations 2014, 2015
