About the role
Marketnode is a digital market infrastructure (DMI) operator backed by Euroclear, HSBC, SGX Group and Temasek. We believe in the power of programmable assets and that traditional financial instruments will originated, transacted and served better leveraging emerging technologies such as blockchain. Our approach to building market infrastructure is one of partnership with the industry and in 2024 have successfully launched our first market-wide platform for funds, with credit and structured products to follow 2025 onwards.
At Marketnode, our DMI suite covers the following:
Data services: AI powered structured data and extraction tools
Funds & transaction management: operating Fundnode, a funds transaction management and settlement platform
Digital Assets: multi-asset tokenization, record keeping and asset servicing
Having recently closed our Series A investment with major financial institutions such as HSBC, Marketnode is now well positioned for it’s next growth phase and is looking for a Test Engineer leading overall delivery efforts for our platform and data services offerings.
The role is responsible for planning, designing, executing, and maintaining test activities to ensure product quality across functional and integrated systems.
This role involves collaborating closely with developers, business analysts, and other QA team members to identify issues early, improve test coverage, and contribute to continuous improvement of testing processes and automation practices.

The role is based in India and reports to the Lead QA Engineer.
Key responsibilities:
Analyze user stories, requirements, and design documents to define comprehensive test scenarios
Design, develop, and execute manual and automated test cases across functional, regression, and integration testing
Build and maintain automation frameworks and scripts using Java (Selenium, Playwright, etc.)
Perform API and integration testing to validate system interactions
Identify, document, and track defects using bug tracking tools
Collaborate with developers and product teams to ensure timely bug resolution
Support non-functional testing (performance, security, usability) where required
Contribute to QA process improvements, including test strategy, documentation, and reporting .
Experience:
3+ years of experience in engineering
Software quality assurance, with 2+ in automation.
Mandatory: Experience working on banking, fintech, or financial product applications
Familiarity with AI-assisted tools (e.g., ChatGPT, GitHub Copilot, or similar) to support QA activities
Technical Skills:
Hands-on experience with automation tools like Selenium, Playwright, or similar
Skilled in at least one programming/scripting language (Java, JavaScript, TypeScript, etc.).
Strong hands-on experience with Playwright and TypeScript.
Candidates should have experience building, maintaining, and executing automation frameworks using Playwright.
Experience in API testing (Postman, RestAssured, etc.)
Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, etc.)
Experience with bug tracking tools (JIRA, Azure DevOps, etc.)
Solid understanding of QA methodologies, SDLC, and STLC
Exposure to AI-assisted tools (ChatGPT, GitHub Copilot, etc.) to enhance QA productivity
Education
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience
