Electrical Maintenance Technician

About the Role

As an Electrical Maintenance Technician, you will serve as a vital technical resource for our production facility, ensuring the reliability and peak performance of complex manufacturing machinery. You will play a key role in optimizing equipment uptime and safety by performing expert-level troubleshooting, preventative maintenance, and electrical system upgrades.

Responsibilities

Execute comprehensive electrical maintenance on high-output machinery including extruders, thermo-formers, and trim presses to drive operational efficiency.

Diagnose and resolve complex failures in AC/DC motor controls, 3-phase circuits, and advanced PLC systems.

Install and configure electrical infrastructure, including conduit routing and high-horsepower motor integration.

Maintain rigorous safety standards by strictly adhering to Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) protocols and facility-wide safety regulations.

Perform proactive preventative maintenance (PM) to minimize downtime and extend the lifecycle of critical production assets.

Fabricate and install custom electrical mounting solutions and disconnects to support facility upgrades.

Mentor team members on electrical best practices to foster a culture of technical excellence and knowledge sharing.

Qualifications

Required Skills

Minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience in an industrial electrical maintenance role.

Proficiency in reading and interpreting complex electrical schematics and blueprints.

Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot and repair industrial control circuits.

Experience operating scissor lifts and aerial work platforms safely.

Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams.

Preferred Skills

Specific technical knowledge of thermo-forming, extrusion, and drying equipment.

Advanced experience with electronic drive systems and PLC programming.

Prior experience in a high-volume manufacturing or production environment.
