About this vacancy

As a Senior Mechanical Design Engineer, you work at the intersection of innovation and technology. You transform complex ideas into high-quality mechanical designs and collaborate closely with experts from various disciplines to solve challenging technological issues. Your responsibilities: - Translating technical concepts into detailed 3D-CAD designs; - Preparing 2D drawing sets and technical documentation; - Applying knowledge of materials, construction principles, and manufacturability in the design process; - Validating designs using FEM analyses and manual calculations; - Creating and managing Bills of Materials (BOM); - Supporting project managers with estimations of lead time and required engineering effort.

What we expect from you

In addition to a completed Bachelor or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent) with at least 8 years of relevant experience in a high-tech development or engineering environment, you possess the following knowledge and experience: - experience with 3D CAD software; knowledge of NX and Teamcenter is a strong advantage; - solid knowledge of precision mechanical constructions and statically determined designs; - experience with form and positional tolerances (GD&T) and functional dimensioning; - basic knowledge of measurement and control technology, thermal systems, optics, and dynamics is a plus; - fluency in both Dutch and English; - residing in the Netherlands.
