About this vacancy

In the role of Lead Engineer, you are technically responsible for the development of advanced space-related systems. You ensure that customer requirements are translated into feasible and effective technical solutions.

You work closely with internal stakeholders (including Project Managers and Product Managers) with the aim of successfully guiding and delivering the projects from the concept phase to realization.

Your responsibilities:

You are responsible for the technical leadership of challenging development projects;

You translate customer needs into achievable technical solutions;

You review and assess mechanical designs and 3D models;

You support project budgeting by estimating engineering efforts and technical costs;

You collaborate closely with Project Managers, Product Managers, Sales, and multidisciplinary engineering teams;

You provide technical guidance throughout the entire lifecycle of projects;

You contribute to technical decision-making and the continuous improvement of products, processes, and practices;

Residence in the Netherlands.

What we expect from you

In addition to a completed technical degree in a field such as Aerospace Engineering (or similar), you possess the following knowledge and experience:

You have experience in a Lead-related position (or similar) within a high-tech or technically complex environment;

You have experience in reviewing technical designs and drawings;

You have knowledge of CAD software (e.g., CATIA);

Experience with ANSYS or similar analysis tools is a plus;

Experience with engineering estimates and cost assessments.
