Gateman/woman security

Job Summary

We are looking for a reliable, professional, and experienced Gateman/Woman Security Officer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have at least two years of security experience, be confident working as part of a team, and be committed to maintaining a safe and secure construction site.

Key Responsibilities:

Control access to the construction site by checking the identification of employees, visitors, and contractors.

Monitor the site to prevent unauthorized access and ensure the safety of personnel, equipment, and materials.

Carry out routine patrols to identify potential security or safety risks.

Keep accurate records of all site entries, exits, and any incidents.

Ensure all visitors follow site health and safety procedures before entering.

Respond quickly and professionally to emergencies or security incidents, reporting them to the appropriate personnel.

Operate security equipment, including CCTV systems and communication devices, when required.

Requirements:

A minimum of two years’ proven experience in the security industry is essential.

Previous experience working on construction sites is desirable.

Ability to work effectively as part of a team while also being capable of working independently.

Strong communication skills with a good command of spoken and written English.

Excellent observation skills, with the ability to identify and report potential risks.

Reliable, trustworthy, and professional with a strong work ethic.

Physically fit and able to stand or patrol for extended periods.

A valid driving licence is an advantage.

Willingness to work flexible shifts, including evenings, weekends, and nights when required.

Pay: £15.00-£17.00 per hour
