Practicing Chartered Accountant

Job Summary We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Practicing Chartered Accountant to join our dynamic financial team. Duties

Prepare, analyse, and interpret complex financial statements in accordance with GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles) and other relevant standards.

Conduct detailed account reconciliations including general ledger reconciliation, bank reconciliation, and account analysis to ensure data accuracy.

Manage corporate accounting functions such as accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and journal entries using advanced accounting software like Sage, Xero, PeopleSoft, QuickBooks, and Quicken.

Oversee regulatory reporting requirements and ensure compliance with securities law, governmental regulations, and internal policies.

Perform financial report writing and interpretation to support strategic decision-making; develop budgets, forecasts, and cash flow analyses for various departments or projects.

Mentor junior staff members by providing guidance on technical accounting issues

Conduct detailed financial analysis to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for process improvements; communicate findings clearly to stakeholders.

Qualifications

Certified Chartered Accountant (CA) designation with active practicing license.

Proven experience in corporate finance, public accounting, or governmental accounting environments.

Strong knowledge of GAAP, accrual accounting, double entry bookkeeping, and financial concepts.

Proficiency in accounting software including Sage, Xero, QuickBooks, PeopleSoft, or similar platforms; familiarity with Microsoft Excel at an advanced level is essential.

Demonstrated expertise in technical accounting areas such as compliance, regulatory reporting, and financial statement preparation.

Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data accurately; experience in financial report writing and presentation is preferred.

Effective mentoring skills with a passion for developing team members’ technical capabilities.
