Summary of Role Purpose
Reporting into the ER Lead, you will be providing expertise on ER matters across the business and bring external market knowledge around competitor activity and industry trends and share this information appropriately. You will act as an ambassador for KPMG through effective network. Working collaboratively with the senior business leaders, Employment Law Advisory Team, Employee Relations Investigation Team and lead HRBPs to drive a robust and high-performance culture, manage and mitigate people related risks. Manage complex cases and minor misconduct resolution.
What will you be doing?
Lead on complex cases working collaboratively with the wider HR team and business to ensure best possible outcomes
Bring external market knowledge around competitor activity and industry trends and share this information appropriately
Coaching performance managers, People Leaders, Business Partners, and People Advisors in HR matters
Resolve straightforward and complex people issues with a focus on commercially pragmatic outcomes, escalating as necessary
Advise on non-standard correspondence as required
Demonstrate advanced knowledge of absence management, providing advice to performance managers, People Leaders, and partners on dealing with long-term or persistent absences, including OH referrals. Coach performance managers and People Leaders on return-to-work conversations
Coach and support performance managers and People Leaders on the performance management process and delivering difficult messages
Collaborate closely with the People Information team to respond to management information requirements, including staff movements, recruitment rates, KPIs, talent, and exit analysis
Enhance management information by providing analysis and executive summaries
Review information to identify trends and recommend appropriate actions
Present information in a user-friendly and professional format
Challenging existing ER ways of working to ensure maximum efficiency and outcomes
Ensuring a proactive approach to absence management across the business
Create learning pathways for the PAS team to develop ER skills and experience
Work with the Employment Law Advisory Team
To be an ER point of contact for change projects
What will you need to do it?
Extensive experience in Employee Relations including with senior level individuals
Experience of working within a professional services or regulated environment
Significant experience leading ER cases, including end-to-end delivery and governance
Strong Employee Relations knowledge and experience including TUPE and redundancy, with confidence advising and influencing senior stakeholders
Deep understanding of UK employment legislation, dispute resolution, and best-practice ER approaches, with proven ability to apply this knowledge to programme design and delivery
People leadership experience (formal or matrix), including coaching, performance management and building capability across a delivery team
Excellent written and verbal communication; able to engage and influence at all organisational levels, and to lead and coach others through change
