Job Description and Role Overview

3+ Years of backend experience in Python and FastAPI is a must! As a Senior Backend Engineer, you will architect and build scalable backend systems powering our enterprise platform. You will work closely with frontend, product, and AI teams to build reliable, secure, and high-performance services. AI knowledge is a plus, but this is not an AI developer role.

Responsibilities

● Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend services using Python and FastAPI.

● Design RESTful APIs and backend architecture for web and mobile applications.

● Design fault-tolerant, scalable systems and optimize performance.

● Develop and optimize MySQL database schemas and queries.

● Implement caching strategies (Redis or similar) to improve performance.

● Participate in architecture discussions, code reviews, and technical design.

● Write clean, testable, maintainable code using Git and development best practices.

● Collaborate with frontend, DevOps, and product teams.

● Work with cloud infrastructure and CI/CD pipelines.

Required Qualifications

● Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field.

● 4–8 years of backend software development experience.

● Strong proficiency in Python and FastAPI (Flask/Django is a plus).

● Strong experience with MySQL and relational database design.

● Experience with caching technologies (Redis or similar).

● Strong understanding of system design, scalability, and distributed systems.

● Experience with REST APIs, Git, and software engineering best practices.

● Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure) is preferred.

● Strong communication and collaboration skills.

Nice to Have

● Understanding of AI/LLMs and how backend systems integrate with AI services.

● Exposure to OpenAI APIs, LangChain, or Hugging Face.

● Experience with event-driven architecture or message queues.
