About the role

The P&C Operational Investigations Specialist, Advisory Services provides comprehensive advice and support to Line Managers across all Coles' businesses on escalated workplace relations issues.

We are looking for a P&C HR Specialist to advise on and undertake investigations into personal work-related grievances, including those relating to roster grievances, pay queries, workload and work practices and other interpersonal conflicts.

The successful candidate will also be required to play a leading role in building line manager capability through the delivery of formal training and other upskilling initiatives.

Your key responsibilities will be:

Provide coaching and guidance to line managers on investigating grievances and other work-related enquiries

Conduct investigations into more complex personal work-related grievances and make recommendations to line managers based on findings

Develop and deliver training for line managers on workplace relations topics

Provide advice and management on complex ill and injured worker matters

Be an advocate on behalf of Coles’ brands on matters arising from the Fair Work Ombudsman

About you and your skills:

Tertiary qualified in HR or Law and/or demonstrated strong performance in Workplace Relations/Employee Relations

At least 4 years + Experience in performance, conduct/behaviour and Equal Opportunity case management and conducting workplace investigations.

A detailed working understanding of a full range of employment related legislation and proven ability to interpret and provide advice

A strong customer focus and the proven ability to clearly outline risk and make informed recommendations

Ability to provide accurate and timely advice in a fast-paced environment to minimise risk or other impacts on the business
