As a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Screening Driver in Texas City, TX, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking-up additional shifts when it works for you.

How This Role Works:

Fixed-Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts”): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.

Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick-up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part-time hours this week and full-time the next. It’s all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part-time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build-up to a full-time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

Responsibilities:

Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and/or drivers by carrying out access control procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a manufacturing and industrial location.

Monitor entry and exit points, verify credentials and/or visitor authorizations, document arrivals and departures, and help to deter unauthorized access to buildings, production areas, and restricted spaces.

Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including reporting unusual activity and communicating with site contacts as needed.

Conduct regular and random patrols around the business, perimeter, parking areas, and access points, noting conditions that may require attention or follow-up.

Assist with badge and key control, visitor processing, and delivery coordination while maintaining accurate logs and supporting security-related procedures throughout the location.

Minimum Requirements:

A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.

A TSA-issued TWIC is required.

Be at least 21 years of age.

Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.

Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.

Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.

As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.

Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.

As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.

Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.

A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
