Role Title: Global Air Freight Systems and Digital delivery Senior Manager

RCS Grade: G

Location: Preference for EMEA time zone

Job Purpose:

Implement Air Freight Systems & Digital Delivery plans, processes and activities to deliver accurate and effective functional outcomes in line with business needs and objectives, relevant strategies and standards, Group guidelines and policies, and applicable legal, regulatory and compliance requirements. This includes leading and orchestrating significant Air Freight solution delivery programs across domains, countries or regions, ensuring digital demand is sequenced, governed, adopted and measured against business value.

Key Tasks:

Provide input into Air Freight solution delivery strategy, digital roadmap and portfolio direction in line with Air Freight business objectives, GTOM standards and approved governance.

Lead delivery of large, complex or multi-country projects and programs with clear scope, value case, dependency plan, adoption plan and risk control.

Direct pipeline prioritization and ensure RUN / MATCH / LEAP classification is applied consistently to stability, competitive parity and differentiation initiatives.

Coordinate across Solution Delivery, IT, Product, PE, CO/CT, GSC, Operations, Pricing, SCM & Gateways, OA and Implementation to ensure digital initiatives are executable and reusable.

Identify fragmented or country-specific solution demand where a reusable regional or global capability would better support GTOM.

Lead implementation of transformational change projects that improve the service portfolio, automation level, data quality, customer visibility, or operational control.

Track project progress, adoption maturity, value realization and benefit delivery; highlight divergence from plan and trigger corrective action.

Assess technical and business-process alternatives, recommend feasible approaches and ensure solutions do not undermine global standards or local execution accountability.

Lead risk management, mitigation planning, dependency resolution and executive communication for strategic digital initiatives.

Develop capability in managers, specialists and domain users on structured demand, UAT quality, adoption discipline and portfolio value thinking.

Convince subject matter experts and key stakeholders including Air Freight Product, Strategy & Operational Excellence, Process Excellence, Customer Operations / Control Tower, Growth, Pricing, SCM & Gateways, Network & Charters, Operational Accounting and Implementation stakeholders; Regional and country Air Freight leadership, stations, GSC, Solution Delivery, IT / AD, Finance, HR; external vendors or system partners; and senior regional and global Air Freight leaders to accept new concepts, practices and approaches.

Build strong, trusting cross-functional relationships with DHL managers and relevant partner teams.

May cooperate with approved third parties and provide technical guidance to line managers, employees, customers, and key stakeholders.

Qualifications & Key Requirements:

Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience/qualification.

Proven ability to independently lead and manage large, global cross‑functional initiatives.

Comfortable operating in highly complex, cross‑functional environments and resolving ambiguity through structured, evidence‑based analysis.

Strong track record of driving governance, adoption, and closure outcomes across multiple regions and countries.

Skilled at influencing VP/SVP stakeholders across Product, Operations, Regions, GSC, Finance, and Digital/IT.

Experience partnering with Solution Delivery teams to drive structured closure plans and enablement activities.

Strong coordination and negotiation skills with internal and external data or system providers.

Ability to drive execution through influence and governance authority, not hierarchical control.
