About the Opportunity

As a SAP ABAP Developer, you will contribute to the management and migration of engineering master data within an SAP ERP environment.

The current project focuses on migrating data from an Oracle Agile e6 PLM platform to SAP solutions. You will work closely with internal users, the data migration team, and the PLM engineering department to ensure an accurate and efficient transition.

In addition to development and customisation activities, you will provide L2 and L3 support to SAP PLM users across SAP Folders Management, SAP MM, SAP DMS, and related master data processes.

Key Responsibilities

Develop, customise, maintain, and enhance SAP solutions using ABAP.

Support engineering master data management within the SAP ERP environment.

Contribute to the migration of data from Oracle Agile e6 PLM to SAP.

Collaborate with internal users, data migration specialists, and PLM engineering teams.

Analyse source data, migration requirements, mappings, and business rules.

Support the validation and reconciliation of migrated data.

Customise and program SAP Folders Management applications using SCASE.

Develop and maintain solutions related to Material Master Management.

Support Bill of Materials management and related engineering processes.

Develop and customise Document Management solutions using SAP DMS.

Provide L2 and L3 support to SAP PLM end users.

Analyse incidents and service requests involving SAP PLM, MM, DMS, and Folders Management.

Contact business users to clarify reported issues and collect the required technical and functional details.

Document issue descriptions, reproduction steps, expected behaviour, and actual results.

Troubleshoot technical and functional issues and implement appropriate corrections.

Work with ticketing, software management, source control, and development lifecycle tools.

Produce clear technical documentation and support knowledge transfer.

Collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary and international teams.

Mandatory Requirements

At least 5 years of professional experience in SAP development and support.

Strong hands-on experience with SAP ABAP programming.

Experience supporting master data management processes in an SAP ERP environment.

Practical experience with SAP Folders Management and SCASE.

Strong experience customising and programming SAP Folders Management applications.

Knowledge of SAP MM, particularly Material Master Management.

Experience with Bill of Materials management.

Knowledge of SAP Document Management System – SAP DMS.

Experience providing support to SAP end users.

Ability to investigate incidents and communicate directly with business users.

Experience collecting detailed issue descriptions and documenting reproduction steps.

Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.

Fluent English.

Availability to attend the Porto/Gaia office approximately 3–4 times per month.

Nice-to-Have Qualifications

Experience with SAP Records Management or related FM/RM components.

Experience with SAP PLM engineering processes.

Previous involvement in enterprise data migration projects.

Experience migrating data from Oracle Agile e6 PLM to SAP.

Knowledge of engineering master data and product lifecycle processes.

Experience with BMC Helix.

Experience with Atlassian Jira.

Knowledge of SAP Solution Manager.

Experience with Microsoft Azure DevOps.

Knowledge of Git or similar version-control tools.

Previous experience in the automotive or automotive technology sector.

The Ideal Candidate

The ideal candidate is an experienced SAP ABAP Developer with solid knowledge of engineering master data, SAP PLM processes, and enterprise data migration.

You are comfortable combining ABAP development with functional analysis and end-user support. You can understand business issues, investigate incidents, document technical findings, and implement effective solutions across SAP Folders Management, MM, DMS, Material Master, and Bill of Materials.

You communicate clearly with business users and technical teams, work collaboratively in an international environment, and take ownership of tasks from analysis through resolution. Experience migrating product or engineering data from Oracle Agile e6 PLM to SAP will be especially valuable.
