About the role

Visionary Interior Design Pte Ltd is looking for an experienced and results-driven Commercial Operations & Performance Manager to lead our commercial operations, strengthen sales performance, and protect project profitability.

This role is responsible for driving commercial success by ensuring strong sales execution, healthy project margins, operational excellence, and cross-functional collaboration from lead generation through project completion.

Key Responsibilities

Sales Performance & Accountability

Monitor and drive individual and team sales KPIs.

Track leads, appointments, quotations, confirmations, collections, and revenue.

Conduct regular sales performance reviews and accountability sessions.

Ensure timely follow-up on customer enquiries and quotations.

Monitor designers’ sales pipelines and identify underperforming areas.

Prepare weekly and monthly sales performance reports.

Forecast monthly and quarterly sales performance.

Sales Operations & CRM Management

Ensure CRM data is accurate and up to date.

Monitor quotation turnaround time and ageing quotations.

Improve and standardise sales SOPs, workflows, and documentation.

Develop management dashboards and performance reports.

Identify opportunities to improve operational efficiency through automation and process improvements.

Commercial & Margin Control

Review project costing and ensure quotations meet company profitability targets.

Evaluate discounts, special requests, free items, and payment variations.

Recommend commercially viable solutions while protecting company margins.

Escalate high-risk quotations for management approval.

Maintain proper documentation for all commercial approvals.

Project Profitability & Cost Monitoring

Monitor project costs against estimated budgets.

Identify projects with declining profitability or cost overruns.

Work closely with QS and Project Managers to implement corrective actions.

Monitor Variation Orders (VOs) and their financial impact.

Prepare monthly project profitability reports.

Project Oversight & Commercial Risk Management

Monitor project progress and milestone completion.

Track outstanding collections and payment status.

Identify operational and commercial risks that may impact profitability.

Coordinate with internal departments to resolve issues proactively.

Escalate critical commercial risks to Management.

Client Escalation & Commercial Resolution

Handle complex customer issues and pricing disputes.

Support designers during difficult negotiations.

Review requests for discounts and compensation.

Balance customer satisfaction while protecting company profitability.

Sales Training & Team Development

Plan and conduct structured sales training sessions.

Coach designers on negotiation, objection handling, and value-based selling.

Develop sales playbooks, training materials, and best practices.

Identify performance gaps and implement coaching plans.

Ensure new hires complete structured onboarding and sales training.

Leadership & Reporting

Prepare reports covering:

Sales performance

Revenue forecasts

Pipeline health

Conversion rates

Gross profit margins

Project profitability

Team productivity

Collection status

Commercial risks

Recommend operational improvements to Management based on performance insights.

Job Requirements

Requirements

Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Business, Sales, Interior Design, Project Management, or a related discipline.

Minimum 5 years of experience in Commercial Operations, Sales Operations, Business Operations, Interior Design, Construction, Renovation, or a related industry.

Proven experience managing sales performance and commercial operations.

Strong understanding of project costing, gross profit margins, and commercial risk management.

Experience working with CRM systems and sales reporting dashboards.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Excellent leadership, coaching, and stakeholder management abilities.

Able to work effectively across Sales, QS, Project Management, Finance, and other departments.

Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.

Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Office, and reporting tools.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience in the Interior Design, Renovation, Construction, or Fit-Out industry.

Experience leading cross-functional teams.

Familiarity with project costing, quotation management, and contract administration.

Experience implementing operational improvements and process optimisation.

Pay: $4,000.00 - $6,700.00 per month
